“Adrian, are you okay?”

When Madison saw him swaying, she hurried forward to support him.

“Everyone is talking about us.”

“Lydia ruined me this time.”

“Did she ever come after you first?”

“You think I don’t know your temper?”

“You were the one who kept pushing her limits.”

“My wife can only be Lydia Morgan.”

Madison stared at him in disbelief.

She even forgot to cry.

She probably couldn’t understand how a man who had been so gentle and indulgent with her just days ago could become this cold in the blink of an eye.

Adrian ignored her.

He strode toward the door.

A man in a suit and gold-rimmed glasses blocked him.

“Mr. Whitlock, hello.”

“I’m Victor Lane, attorney for Ms. Lydia Morgan.”

“Given the clear evidence of your adultery during the marriage, Ms. Morgan has instructed me to formally file a divorce lawsuit against you.”

Victor looked at Madison.

“Miss Blake, you too.”

Madison’s face went white.

“What does this have to do with me?”

“The condo Mr. Whitlock paid for during his marriage, as well as your store rent, renovation fees,

and all transfers made to you, are marital assets.”

“My client will recover them according to the law.”

Madison collapsed onto the floor.

As if Adrian couldn’t believe I truly wanted a divorce, he lost control and shouted.

“Lydia won’t divorce me.’

Adrian stood frozen in place.

As if he couldn’t understand the words “she left.”

The guests gradually walked out.

Every gaze they cast at him and Madison carried open disgust.

He rushed out of the hotel like a madman.

All the way home, he kept muttering.

“Lydia won’t leave me.”

“She should be home at this hour.”

“She’ll be waiting for me.”

The second he opened the door, he froze.

The house was still in the state he had left it after tearing everything apart.

For five years of marriage, I had kept the house spotless so he could feel comfortable every day after coming home from the hospital.

At first, he had been moved.

He had helped.

Later, he got used to it.

Then he started taking it for granted.

He even began to think the home was dull and boring.

This was the first time he came home to a wreck.

Adrian called Channel 8 News.

They told him I had already left.

He asked where I had gone.
