My Alpha Fiancé Let Another She-Wolf Wear My Scent—So What? I Let His Rival Wear My Ring Chapter 09

My Alpha Fiancé Let Another She-Wolf Wear My Scent—So What? I Let His Rival Wear My Ring Chapter 09

In front of Kaelen, I threaded my fingers through Aldric’s and pushed up on my toes to brush my lips against his jaw.

The light in Kaelen’s eyes went out, but he still tried lying to himself. “It’s fine, Sera. I know you’re just messing with

me.”

He gripped the roses so hard the thorns drove straight into his palms. The blood-soaked petals shook in his hands. It was brutal to look at, but it didn’t pull a single thing out of me.

I knew some people, some chances, once they slip away, you can’t ever get them back.

Aldric felt the tension in my grip and squeezed my hand tighter. His warmth and that solid presence gave me the push

I needed.

I lifted my eyes to meet Kaelen’s broken stare, steady and detached.

“No, Sera. I’ll prove it to you. I’ll make this right!” Blood dripped from his palms, but I still didn’t say a word, even as his friends dragged him off.

“Sorry, just needed the cover for a second,” I said to Aldric.

He gave me this soft smile. “Sera, for you, I’d never care. Actually, I kind of hope… what just went down was real.”

I got what he meant, even if my head was still all over the place. “It’s cool. We’ve got time. I’ll show you my best.” And just like that, we fell back into our groove, moving like we’d been doing this forever.

With me backing him up, Aldric tore through a string of the kingdom’s competitions one after another. He shot straight to the top Alpha slot, and the pack’s rep and income exploded.

Meanwhile, I’d catch bits and pieces from friends and the kingdom forums about Kaelen.

Since that day at the port, he’d found out about other she-wolf warriors getting harassed by clients. He tracked down the Alpha who’d cornered me back then and went after him solo. He dug through the pack’s surveillance footage and pulled up every single one of Linnet’s schemes and all the ways she’d set me up and hurt me.

For all of it, Kaelen paid her back in full. She got scalded with boiling water, locked in a room covered in broken glass, and had her hair chopped off. When Linnet ran crying to the Alpha King, Kaelen got thrown in lockup for assault.

Once he got out, his mind was clearly wrecked. He stayed home drinking himself into oblivion, self-destructing hard.

I remember one late night when he called me, slurring that he finally got how I felt. During the day, he’d wander down to some canal, searching for a ring he was never gonna find again.

The Alpha he’d beaten wasn’t helpless, though. Guy hired rogue wolves later on to shatter one of Kaelen’s hands, leaving him a crippled Alpha. After that, he’d show up sometimes at markets, fumbling at public phone booths with his busted fingers.

He’d mumble to himself, “This is the song I wrote for Sera… she’ll hear it… she’ll forgive me… she’ll come back.”

Then this she-wolf covered in burn scars showed up, throwing herself at him in some twisted act of revenge. “Alpha Kaelen! If you’re dragging me down with you, then we’re both going to hell together! I’ll haunt you till the end!”

The story of the kingdom’s golden boy getting burned in revenge sent a wave of pity through the forums.

I stayed locked in on my work, though.

After a celebration banquet, Aldric laid it all out-how he’d been into me since the moment we met. “Fate made us miss each other for way too long. For the rest of your life, I want to be there for every single moment. Sera, will you be my mate? My Luna?”

I nodded, taking this love that came late but hit deep.

Under the moonlight, Aldric took my hand and lowered his head to sink his teeth into my neck. He marked me. In

front of the Moon Goddess, two hearts that had been searching forever finally locked in.

Our pack in the South kept growing strong.

Alpha Aldric’s leadership and my combat experience meshed perfectly. The pack was tight, and life was thriving.

When we had downtime, Aldric and I would walk through the forests near the territory, listening to birds and soaking in that quiet peace you only get in the South.

Every now and then, I’d think about Kaelen. But it didn’t shake me-just a calm kind of acceptance. The pain from back then had turned into scars that taught me something, reminding me to hold onto the happiness in front of me.

I knew the road ahead was long, but with Aldric next to me, I had the guts to face whatever came.

Together, we’d build the pack even stronger, writing a chapter of happiness that was ours alone.
