My Husband Auctioned My Private Photos, I Ruined Him on the Spot Chapter 03

I slumped back into my seat, voice weak. “I’m sure.”

“Damn. Too bad. That footage must’ve been insane.”

“What’re you sweating? How long do you think she can keep this up?”

“Exactly. The later stuff’s even better. She’s more… experienced by then. We’re not missing out by waiting.”

“Bidder thirty-eight, no-limit bid. Congratulations, Mrs. Ashford, you’ve secured the accompanying video.”

I closed my eyes. My nails dug deep into my palms.

The screen instantly switched to the second photo and its companion text.

“Second photo, opening bid: two million dollars!”

The room boiled over. “Does this stuff actually exist? This is better than every porno I’ve ever watched.”

A man sitting close jabbed me in the arm. “You look like such a good girl, but behind closed doors you’re a total freak.”

I glared at him. He burst out laughing. “Oh, I like that. If Mr. Ashford doesn’t want you anymore, come find me. I’ll spot you one bid. How about it?”

“Don’t touch me.”

My voice was ice. He scoffed and sat back. “Yeah, sure. Used-up little princess still acting untouchable. Ten million!”

“Twenty million!”

“Twenty-five million!”

“Blank check. No…limit.”

I don’t know how I forced those words out.

The auctioneer looked at me, his smile heavy with meaning. “Bidder thirty-eight, no limit bid, confirmed!”

Once the hammer fell, he turned to me with that polished smile. “That’s two no-limit bids. According to your proof of funds, you have less than five million in liquid cash remaining.”

My voice was hollow. “Keep going.”

The auctioneer’s professional mask slipped for just a second, a cold, flat laugh, as he brought up the third photo. “Third item, opening bid: two million!”

“Blank check.”

When my voice rang out, every face turned to me in shock.

The auctioneer faced me. “Mrs. Ashford, your verified assets upon entry totaled one hundred and four point three million dollars. You’ve already placed two no-limit bids. Your remaining balance is insufficient.”

A man winked at me. “Beg me, sweetheart. I’ll spot you this one.”

I ignored them all and looked at Landon.

He was already looking at me. But there was no offer of help, only the scornful curl of his lips.

Now everyone was watching him. After all, he was still my husband.

“Why’s everyone looking at me?”

Landon drawled, unbothered. “I told you, every item is open for bidding.”

The men breathed a collective sigh of relief. “Thank you, Mr. Ashford, for bowing out.”

Just then, Bianca, still seated next to him, raised her hand. “Fine. I’ll cover this photo for her.”

Landon looked at her, surprise flickering before a broad, delighted smile took over.

Bianca looked at me. “After all, she did fund my study abroad. I can’t be ungrateful, can I?”

The warmth in Landon’s eyes deepened. Watching Bianca was the only thing that melted the ice in his gaze.

The room erupted. “No wonder Mr. Ashford adores her. Who doesn’t love a girl this sweet?”

“Bianca is such a good girl. She blushes at a dirty joke—unlike someone else.”

Meaningful stares stabbed into me like blades.

A flash of smug satisfaction crossed Bianca’s face before she turned to me. “Don’t worry, Evelyn.”

“Spare me the performance.”

She froze. “What?”

“So this is how you repay me? Stealing my seat and my husband?”

I leaned back in my chair. “Sorry, I haven’t sunk low enough to need help from a slut and a bastard.”

“Evelyn Ashford.”

Landon spoke to me at last. But the tone was colder than a stranger’s.

I shot him an icy glance and turned to the auctioneer. “I called the no-limit bid. I’ll handle it myself.”
