Milo was still tied up in my bedroom.

Before going to work, I planned to untie him.

Pushing the door open, the man was quietly huddled on the carpet, head lowered, his long eyelashes trembling slightly—probably pretending to be asleep.

I approached, crouched down, and began untying the slipknot around his wrists.

“Milo.”

I called out to him softly.

The man refused to acknowledge me, keeping his eyes tightly shut.

“I’m going to work. I’ll untie you, but can you promise to be good and wait at home for me to come back?”

“Heh, if you don’t want to untie me, just say so.”

Milo finally opened his eyes, looking impatient.

I gave a helpless, wry smile and immediately let him go.

The man didn’t seem to process it, his alluring eyes staring blankly at me.

“You really untied me?

I never promised to wait for you at home.”

He used to run away all the time.

But with his contract in my hands, he couldn’t get far. It was just a hassle searching the whole world for him every time, so I tied him up to save trouble.

I nodded, compromising out of sheer exhaustion:

“Yeah, just remember to take the house keys with you.”
