Even my own husband believed it was my fault.

The others in the troupe didn’t hold back either.

“If not, stop making accusations.”

“Lily was here. But she’s been with me the entire time.”

“I’d love to know how she managed to break your prop while standing next to me.”

Amber’s face drained of color.

This wasn’t how things were supposed to go.

She turned helplessly toward Elias, hoping he would say something.

But he looked distant, completely lost in his own thoughts.

“Director Volkov… I saw it.”

A soft voice spoke up.

“Amber broke the fan herself.”
