Married to a Trap I Already Escaped Chapter 03

Married to a Trap I Already Escaped Chapter 03

I returned to the wedding villa.

I threw all the couple items Xavier had prepared into the trash, then booked the earliest flight out of the country.

Just as I was about to leave, the door was thrown open.

Xavier stormed in, grabbed me by the neck, and shoved me against the wall.

“Fran, you tricked me!”

Veins bulging at his temple, his eyes wide with rage.

“You transferred the money? And filed for bankruptcy on your own?”

I was forced to tilt my head back, staring at him through the suffocation.

“Yes. Mr. Minel’s money is dirty money as far as I’m concerned.”

His grip on my neck tightened.

“You’re asking for it!”

I let out a bitter laugh.

“Go ahead, strangle me.”

“Kill me, and you’ll never get that money back.”

Xavier suddenly let go. I slid down the wall to the floor, clutching my neck and coughing violently.

He knelt down and pinched my cheek. “Fran, do you think you can escape?”

“Your father’s ashes are still in the cemetery, or do you think I won’t have them scattered tomorrow?”

I began to tremble uncontrollably.

In my past life, he’d used my father’s ashes to blackmail me into donating bone marrow to Anne.

I lunged forward and slapped him hard across the face.

“Xavier, you monster!”

He turned his head, pressing his tongue to the stinging cheek.

When he turned back to look at me, his face was contorted with fury. “Well said.”

“Since you’re so disobedient, don’t blame me for what comes next.”

He stood up and dialed a number.

“Cancel Fran’s flight and freeze all her bank accounts.”

“Also, station men to guard the cemetery.”

After hanging up, he looked down at me. “From today on, you don’t go nowhere without my permission.”

I was placed under house arrest, and my phone and all identification documents were confiscated.

I was kept locked inside the villa day and night.

He went to the company during the day, and returned at night to torture me in new ways.

At meals, he’d deliberately have the servants cook dishes that made me gag; at night, he’d turn the air conditioning to the lowest setting to make me freeze.

Later, he went so far as to brought Anne to the villa. He hugged and kissed her right in front of me.

“Xavier, Miss Larson is watching.” Anne purred, snuggling into his arms.

Xavier glanced at me indifferently. “She’s just a disobedient toy. Don’t pay her any mind.”

I sat on the sofa, watching their performance, feeling nothing but cold detachment. It was almost laughable.

In my past life, I’d been kept in the dark and suffered immensely; now, I only felt revulsion.

I stood up to go back to my room.

Anne suddenly called out to me.

“Miss Larson, could you get me a glass of water?”

I ignored her and kept walking.

Xavier snapped. “Stop.”

“Anne asked you for water, and didn’t you hear her?”

I stopped and turned back. “Did you marry me to be your maid?”

Xavier strode forward, grabbed my hair, and yanked my head back.

“Wife? Do you deserve that title?”

“Fran, I married you only to torture you.”

“Your father ruined Anne’s family years ago. This debt must be repaid by you.”

I froze. My father had harmed Anne?

It was a complete lie. My father had been an honest businessman, he would never hurt anyone.

“You’re lying!” I struggled fiercely.

Xavier flung me away roughly.

“It doesn’t matter whether you admit it or not. Either way, you’ll spend the rest of your life atoning.”

He turned to Anne, his voice softening instantly.

“Anne, how do you want to punish her?”

Anne stared at me. “Xavier, I’ve been feeling dizzy lately. The doctor says I’m anemic.”

“Why don’t you let Miss Larson donate some blood for me?”

Xavier agreed without hesitation. “Consider it done.”

He called in his private doctor, and several men held me down on the table, drawing a full 800 milliliters of blood.

My vision went black, my body went cold, and I collapsed to the floor, too weak to move.

Xavier looked at me without a shred of pity in his eyes.

“This is just the beginning.”

“Fran Larson, everything you owe Anne, I’ll take from you, bit by bit.”
