My Alpha Married My Best Friend Over a Game Chapter 04

My personal Information was exposed. My inbox filled with filth.

People even dug up the old video from outside the pack temple.

[Look at her. She still has the nerve to accuse the real mate of being the other woman.]

[She was famous in The Ironthorn Pack. During the proposal, she had to drag Clive’s hand over to put the

ring on herself.]

[That’s obviously forcing a mating.]

Among all the hate messages, Alpha Clive’s stood out.

[Have you learned your lesson? Come apologize like a good girl. I’ll still bond with you on Monday.]

I locked at the train departure reminder on my phone.

No need. I’d be long gone by then.

But I should’ve known trouble wouldn’t leave me alone.

Someone found my small house in The Ironthorn Pack. They splashed animal blood on the door and

painted crooked wolf paw prints on the wall. A torn rabbit hung outside.

The pack patrol didn’t want trouble, so they kicked me out overnight.

I found a hotel temporarily, but Alpha Clive found me. He grabbed me without a word and shoved me into

his car.

He sped all the way to the pack hospital and dragged me to Charlotte’s bedside. “Since you’re so stubborn

and won’t back down, I’ll help you!”

He shoved me hard. I fell to the floor.

Charlotte said with fake concern, “Don’t do that. I don’t blame Felicity.”

Clive looked at her with pity. “You’re kind, but that’s not a reason for her to hurt you!”

I said bitterly, “I’m the one being attacked online! Alpha Clive, you know the truth. Why are you twisting

everything?!”

“If you hadn’t posted that comment, none of this would have happened! Charlotte hurt herself because of

you!” His tone was matter-of-fact. “Besides, you’re stronger than she is. It’s just a few insults. You can take

it.”

Just a few insults.

Everything I’d suffered was brushed aside just like that.

1 looked at him and smiled bitterly. “Yeah. I deserve all of this. My biggest regret is ever meeting you two!”

I struggled to my feet and tried to leave. Clive moved to follow.

Charlotte suddenly cried out. “Alpha Clive, my wound hurts again.”

He stopped and only sent me a mind link. “Behave yourself. In a few days, I’ll clear things up for you.”

I didn’t answer. Just as I left the hospital, people started pointing at me.

“She looks familiar.”

“Isn’t she the other woman who stole someone’s boyfriend?”

“We finally found her. Teach her a lesson!”

Everyone rushed at me. I turned to run.

But the kick Alpha Clive had landed was brutal. I only made it a few steps before I fell.

Someone pinned me down, grabbed my hair, and started punching and kicking me.

“Let’s see if you dare be the other woman again!”

Someone even tore at my hair and tried to film me for the internet.

In a panic, I called my emergency contact. When it connected, Alpha Clive’s voice came through.

Only then did I remember I hadn’t changed the contact yet.

But I didn’t have time to think. I begged through the pain. “I’m being attacked. Please, please help me…”

The line was quiet for a long time. I thought he might help me for old times’ sake.

Instead, I heard Charlotte first. “Felicity, if you want to play the victim, at least find a better excuse. We live

under the rule of law. How could that happen?”

Then Alpha Clive’s cold voice followed.

“Felicity, stop playing the victim. It’s pathetic. Find a better excuse next time.”

The call was cut without mercy. My last bit of hope died with it.

Eventually, a passerby saw what was happening and called the patrol. Only then did those people leave.

I turned down the hospital’s recommendation to stay for observation, It was almost time to board my

train.

I dragged my suitcase and limped to the train station. Alpha Clive texted me.

[Pack temple. Ten tomorrow morning. Don’t worry. No games this time.]

It was something I’d waited for so long. But now I felt nothing.

I uploaded everything I’d organized, scheduled the post, and walked away without looking back.
