He Mocked My Scar, So I Left Him to His Regret Chapter 20

Bianca lost her patience even faster than Lockwood did.

She posted an open letter in the old class channel, accusing me of using Tidewatch’s influence to take revenge on old classmates.

To prove the poll had only been a joke, she reposted Holden’s original thread.

In it, the dozens of names still sat neatly beneath mine.

People followed the old records and dug up her mocking

comment about my lunch subsidy. They put the cheating notes side by side with her old handwriting.

Bianca scrambled to delete everything.

But this time, no one said I was being too sensitive.

Classmates who had been at that barbecue started sending

apologies.

Some admitted they had laughed. Some said they had only been afraid of offending Lockwood. Some tried to shift all the blame to

Holden.

I didn’t reply to them.

A late “I’m sorry” could never erase three years of humiliation.

Just then, the Education Committee’s final decision was

announced.

Cedar Ridge Academy was required to publicly correct my academic record, repay the lunch subsidy that had been illegally revoked, and nullify Bianca’s grades and recommendation status obtained through cheating.

The vice principal was removed from his post for suppressing complaints and accepting interference from the financial officer.

Holden had voluntarily admitted to his role in the poll and the false report. His graduation speaker honor was revoked.

The Resource Committee then ruled that Lockwood was unfit to

continue overseeing territorial subsidies.

He lost his post as financial officer.

e day the notice went out, Bianca and Lockwood had a

screaming match on their front lawn.

“You said I would always be your only daughter!”

“If you hadn’t insisted on breaking into Lucia’s house, I never would have taken her money!”

Lockwood was just as furious.

“If you hadn’t cheated and bullied her, I never would have been

investigated!”

“I spent tens of millions on you, and what have you ever done

except cause trouble?”

Priscilla stood between them, crying and begging them to stop.

But a family held together by favoritism had, for the first time,

started tallying up the costs.

The more they counted, the more they hated each other.

When Holden told me about it, I glanced at his message once,

then deleted it.

That was never the family I wanted.

And it was never what I had lost.

What I had lost was the safety and respect every child deserves.

Now, I had rebuilt it for myself.
