He Was Reborn to Claim Me, But I’m Already Married Chapter 07

Margaret was deeply displeased by Adrian’s outburst.

“Adrian, come back here.”

The staff gently pulled him aside.

“Natalie and Evelyn, please come forward.”

Just like in my previous life, someone placed a white rose in Adrian’s hand.

And just like before, Margaret said, “Give the rose to the one whose painting you like best.”

Everyone knew the unspoken meaning: whoever received the white rose was the one he chose, the woman he was willing to publicly court and discuss marriage with.

I clutched my purse, my eyes fixed on the rose in Adrian’s hand, terrified he would give it to Evelyn.

Instead, he just stood there, dazed and motionless, as if sleepwalking.

Only after Margaret prompted him again did he seem to snap out of it.

Even his voice sounded faint.

“Mother, everything’s a blur today. Why don’t you let me think it over?”

It was a long moment before Margaret smoothed things over.

“That’s true. With so many crabapple paintings, it really is hard to tell them apart.”

“Then think it over properly. There’s no need to decide right now.”
