Reborn, I Gave Him What He Wanted and Stopped Saving Him Chapter 15

Hope filled Alexander’s eyes. He needed me to tell him he was right.

I answered calmly.

“No. You remember correctly.”

A look of relief immediately appeared on his face. He relaxed completely.

Then I continued.

“But I only ate sweet food because you liked sweet food. I didn’t eat seafood because the smell made

you sick.”

“Alexander, I was always adjusting myself for you.”

“Now that we’re apart, I don’t have to accommodate anyone anymore. I want to be myself. If you

understand that, leave.”

The color drained from Alexander’s face.

It was as if he finally understood how deeply I had once loved him.

And how little he had noticed.

Regret and pain filled his expression.

“I’m sorry, Sophia. I really didn’t know. Please forgive me.”

“From now on, you don’t have to change for me. You can be yourself. You like spicy food. You like seafood. I’ll learn everything you like. Please give me another chance.”

By the end, his voice was almost breaking.

I felt nothing.

When we were together, he had ignored everything I did for him.

Now he wanted to act regretful.

Wasn’t that ridiculous?

I smiled coldly.

“No. Seeing you ruins my appetite.”

The color drained from his face. His head lowered.

Ethan and I eventually moved to another restaurant.

For the next few days, Alexander didn’t appear in front of me.

Instead, people kept delivering things.

Different bouquets every day. Expensive jewelry. Designer handbags.

I returned everything without opening the packages.

Then one evening, on my way home from work, I heard several women talking excitedly.

“Come on! Hurry! Someone is proposing up ahead. I heard the whole place is decorated.”

“Apparently all the flowers were flown in from Europe. And the ring alone is worth millions.”

“That’s insane. I wish someone would love me that much.”

I suddenly remembered my previous life.

Alexander had once given me an extravagant wedding.

Because of my injuries, he had carried me through the entire ceremony.

In front of everyone, he had promised that he would love only me for the rest of his life.

He had even sworn that if he ever betrayed me, he would pay for it.

But he still ended up with Emily.

And in the end, he did pay the price.

I gave a bitter smile.

My phone buzzed.

It was Ethan.

“The bakery has a new pastry.”

“I’ll pick you up tomorrow.”

“Want to go?”

I tapped the screen.

“Sure.”

The moment I sent the message, a shadow fell over me.

A diamond ring appeared in front of my eyes.

“Sophia.”

“Marry me.”

Alexander looked at me with desperate hope.

People nearby immediately started cheering.

“Say yes!”

“Say yes!”

“Say yes!”

I looked past Alexander at the setup behind him.

The entire street was covered in flowers. Dozens of drones rose into the night sky.

They formed an image above us. It was our first photograph together.

Alexander’s voice trembled.

“Sophia. I know I hurt you. Please give me another chance. Let us start over.”

I looked at him.

Then spoke calmly.

“Alexander. Are you serious?”
