99 Times Repeated, Not Once Did They Say I Love You Chapter 06

Before I could react, a crowd of reporters rushed at me.

My parents closed in from both sides and linked arms with me as if we were the perfect family. They told the

cameras how hard they’d worked to raise me and how much they’d sacrificed to make me an S-rank wolf.

In that moment, I finally understood.

The send-off was never about celebrating me. They wanted to use me.

When they couldn’t get me home for a photo op, they called in the media.

If they could stand beside me in front of enough cameras, they could use my success to polish their own

image.

The shamelessness of it made my blood boil.

They had never done a single thing for me.

They had no right to take credit for any of it.

Microphones and cameras closed in from every direction.

The reporters crowded around us, firing one question after another. My temper snapped.

I pulled my arms free of my parents, stepped back, and let my face go cold.

I spoke up. “These people aren’t my parents. We cut ties. I’m a member of Dreadmoor Pack.”

I held up my phone. On the screen was the signed severance agreement, along with the Dreadmoor Pack crest, a withered leaf over a wolf. Only key members of the pack ever received that crest.

For a moment, everything went still.

The shouting stopped. The flashes died.

Then the reporters caught the scent of a scandal.

Within seconds, the microphones were back in my face, and every question was about why we’d cut ties.

My parents flushed red with embarrassment.

My mother rushed to explain. “It’s a misunderstanding. Just a misunderstanding. She’s a teenager. She’s

upset. That’s all.”

But the questions got sharper and more relentless until my father finally lost it.

He roared at them. “What is wrong with you people? We said there was no cutting ties. Spread that rumor

again and we’ll sue.”

While they were busy fending off the reporters, I pushed through the crowd and ran.

They were too busy to chase me.

Afterward, the whole thing blew up online.

People dug up the history of my time as the “missing daughter.”

But the girl still living in the Lioraen house wasn’t me.

It was Maeve.

On top of that, word got out that I’d moved into the dorms three months before the Rank Exam.

It didn’t take long for people to start guessing that the Lioraens had thrown me out for Maeve’s sake.

For a while, Maeve’s Instagram turned into a battlefield. People called her a “fake.” They called her life

“stolen.”

But in less than a day, all of it vanished.

The Lioraens had stepped in and buried it. The scandal disappeared from everyone’s feeds, and Lioraen.

Group’s stock didn’t even flinch. It was as if nothing had happened.

As for me, I attended the Pack Summit as Dreadmoor Pack’s representative.

My S-rank only proved I had talent and work ethic. I was still a long way from being a qualified Alpha.

At the summit, the representatives of the other packs greeted me with “jokes.”

“Poor Dreadmoor Pack. Their real Alpha is too weak to walk, so they send a kid to hold the fort.”

“So what if you’re the S-rank of the new generation? Put you in front of a real Alpha and you’ll still drop to

your knees.”

“Prove you’ve got guts. Pick up that old silver sword. Let’s see if you can stay on your feet with your wolf

suppressed,”

I looked at the silver sword hanging in the center of the hall.

It was a symbol. Every representative who attended the summit had their wolf suppressed by it. Even the

hottest-tempered werewolves had to sit and read their documents quietly under its gaze.

Some in the hall said it was only a joke, and others said it wasn’t funny.

It was all so familiar, People always found a way to call it a joke when they were picking on whoever looked

weakest.

But I had already survived the biggest joke of all, the one played by the God of Time. I wouldn’t be beaten

again.

I stepped forward and closed my hand around the hilt of the silver sword.

My skin seared and blackened in an instant. Elara let out a shrill, furious howl. But my face didn’t change,

and I didn’t so much as flinch.

Under everyone’s astonished stares, I ignored the damage to my hand, lifted the sword down, and raised it over my head. Then I turned a razor-sharp gaze on every person who dared to look me in the eye.

One second passed, then two, then three.

No werewolf could hold a silver sword that long.

Every mouth in the room clamped shut, and every breath stopped.

My voice was ice. “Now. Kneel to your queen.”
