Cillian’s gaze lingered on her for a moment too long.

Her voice was light and sweet. Cillian instinctively glanced at me.

Many people believed Cillian had been the one to pursue me.

But in reality, I had made the first move.

At the Hawthorne University gala, I had worn a vibrant red dress and approached him.

“Senior Wrenford, would you like to dance with me?”

“It was only a matter of time. She is an Omega, and now her face is ruined. How could an Alpha keep her?”

I listened to their words, but they didn’t hurt.

Hours passed, the ball ended, and the guests departed.

Only Cillian, Brielle, Edmund, and I remained in the vast hall.

Edmund had been conversing quietly with Brielle.

“Grandfather, there is something about Flora and Lumi that I think you both need to see.”

“Oh? What is it?”

Edmund cast a cold, imposing look in my direction.
