I pushed Chloe away.

I held up my hand, turned it over, and smiled.

“You tell me.”

Chloe stared at me in terror. “When did you find out?!”

Xavier heard the noise and came out of the study. Chloe threw herself into his arms immediately.

“Brother-in-law, Sister cursed me! That’s why I got fat and ugly and humiliated myself on stream!”

She looked up, tears streaming down her face.

Combined with her pregnancy puffiness and red skin, she looked… repulsive.

Xavier hadn’t seen Chloe in days and was shocked by her appearance.

But he was used to spoiling her, so he frowned at me.

“What’s going on? Did you hurt Chloe on purpose?”

Ever since I decided to divorce him, his favoritism no longer hurt me.

I raised an eyebrow.

“When I said Chloe cursed me, you called me crazy. Now she says I cursed her, and you believe her?”

“Isn’t it normal for pregnant women to gain weight and feel uncomfortable?” Call your mom and ask if she peed a little when she was pregnant with you. Can you really blame that on a curse? You two must be insane.”

After my body returned to normal, Xavier’s attitude toward me had softened.

I just thought being a widow was better than being divorced.

Xavier looked awkward after hearing me.

He looked down at Chloe. “Your sister is right. Pregnancy is hard. Stop being dramatic.”

Chloe glared at me hatefully.

I smiled. “Why don’t you explain exactly how I cursed you?”

She opened her mouth but said nothing.

After a long pause, Chloe stamped her foot and coquetted to Xavier.

“Brother-in-law, I want you to cook for me.”

Xavier replied coldly, “I think you should eat less.”

I watched them coldly.

A few days earlier, I’d overheard them on the phone. I finally learned the truth: Xavier and Chloe had been sleeping together while we were dating.

They pretended to feel guilty, but they enjoyed their secret affair.

I was stupid and blind to it all.

I still didn’t understand why Xavier chose to marry me in the end.

Chloe married into the wealthy family out of spite.

I looked playfully at the purple red stretch marks covering his sides-ugly and obvious.

His face was covered in acne from messed up hormones.

He looked terrible.

“You’re not pregnant, are you?”
