Three Years in Europe for Everyone—Except His Pregnant Wife Chapter 10

Kai looked down at Ethan with unyielding authority and gave an order to his bodyguards. “Remove

ese party–crashers from the premises!”

Ethan and Rae were roughly escorted outside in total disgrace.

Right outside the Peirce Estate, Ethan lost all self–control in an instant. He grabbed Rae by the neck

in a vicious chokehold and roared at her, broken with rage.

“Who gave you the right to delete those messages!”

“You’ve ruined everything for me!”

Fighting for her life, Rae clamped both hands onto Ethan’s with all her remaining strength. She struggled to draw any breath into her tightening throat.

Her face turned pale from oxygen deprivation, and only pained, strangled noises escaped her lips.

Ethan had completely lost his reason, squeezing harder and harder. Rae’s strength drained away.

She was seconds away from suffocating when Ethan finally loosened his grip.

He burned with murderous fury toward her.

“You vicious woman! I could kill you!”

Rae doubled over, coughing violently for a long time before she could catch her breath.

When she straightened up, tears streamed down her face. Overwhelmed by grievance, she yelled

back at Ethan.

“Me, vicious? You’re the cruel one!”

“You got to be with me while still playing the devoted husband to someone else!”

“All the kindness I’ve shown you over these years has been wasted on an ungrateful wretch!”

Ethan shot back, boiling with anger.

“You were the one who said you didn’t need a formal title, that you only wanted to stay by my side!”

“The biggest regret of my whole life is ever meeting you!”

Those words cut straight to Rae’s heart.

“What woman doesn’t want a proper place by her partner’s side!”

“You loved me more than Yvonne, you know you did.”

“That’s why you brought me along for your three–year posting in Paris.”

“You chose not to take pregnant Yvonne with you. You destroyed your own marriage with your own

two hands.”

“Don’t pin this on me! I won’t take the blame for your mistakes!”

“Now that you know the truth, why don’t we just let things unfold naturally?”

“She’s remarried. You can marry me. We could all be happy. Isn’t that better?”

Rage surged through Ethan. His tone was final.

“Because of you, I lost my family and my child.”

“Even if every other woman on earth vanished, I would never marry you!”

“We are done. Our relationship ends right here.”

With that, Ethan got in his car and drove off without a single backward glance.

Rae ran after his car, sobbing, until her strength gave out and she collapsed onto the ground.

When Ethan got home, his face was dark with misery.

His mom asked, worried, and finally learned Yvonne had filed for divorce three years earlier.

The grandchild she had longed for had been lost all those years ago.

A sharp pain stabbed through her chest. Her legs gave way, and she sank heavily onto the sofa.

Meanwhile, the television was broadcasting footage from the birthday banquet.

Kai held their son in one arm, Yvonne’s hand in the other, greeting guests amid the lively

celebration.

Ethan’s dad and mom were both thunderstruck, caught completely off–guard. Both of them wept

bitterly.

Crushed by heartache and irritated by his parents‘ sobbing, Ethan snapped at them.

“What are you crying! If you hadn’t kept pushing me to treat Rae better!”

“If you hadn’t egged me on to bring her with me for the overseas posting, Yvonne and I would never have ended up like this!”

“I was such a fool!”

Ethan’s mom grieved even more upon hearing his accusations.

“We never imagined things would turn out this way.” “If we had known Yvonne would terminate e pregnancy and file for divorce, we would never have let Rae go to Paris with you, no matter

what.”

“My poor grandbaby who never got to be born. We failed you.”

Some time later, I ran into Ethan by chance at an upscale restaurant. His eyes welled up instantly.

Tears glistened, filled with nothing but remorse.

I just treated him like a total stranger, my face blank, and did not spare him so much as a single glance.
