I Dream-Manipulated My Cold Crush To Win Him, But He Saw Through Me All Along Chapter 08

After lights out that night, I tucked the bracelet under my pillow.

I closed my eyes and silently repeated Miles’s name.

A weightless sensation washed over me, and I landed steadily inside his dream.

It was pitch–black around me, cold as a freezer. All I could hear was low, rough breathing and the dull clang of chains.

I groped my way forward through the dark, my foot splashing into a puddle.

In the corner, a little boy was curled into a tight ball, arms wrapped around his knees. He was shaking so hard he couldn’t even lift his head.

This was his hellish childhood just as the comments had said?

My heart clenched. I focused my will instantly.

A crack split open across the ceiling of the pitch–black basement. Warm sunlight poured through. The moldy walls peeled away like old paint, transforming into endless fields of blooming

sunflowers.

A gentle breeze swept through, carrying the fresh scent of grass and damp earth.

The little boy looked up in shock, his face a miniature version of Miles.

I walked over, crouched down, and pressed a warm glass of milk conjured out of thin air into his

hand.

“Don’t be scared. From now on, it’s all sunshine here.”

He didn’t speak. Just stared at me with an intensity far beyond his years, something obsessive,

something deep and unreadable in his eyes.

His cold fingers wrapped around my wrist.

His grip was shockingly strong.

I was about to say something more when my alarm blared.

The dream shattered instantly. I bolted upright in bed, gasping.

Floating in the air before me, a few lines of comments drifted by:

[Wait, the side character can actually enter the male lead’s dream?]

[That’s cheating! In the original, Miles suffered from nightmares for ten whole years!]

[Oh no, this plot is going off the rails.]

I wiped the cold sweat from my forehead and ignored the floating text.

Whatever the original story said, Miles was my friend now. Helping him was the right thing to do.
