Asher stared in absolute disbelief, his voice cracking.

“Mr. Sullivan, did you get the wrong person? How could Angie possibly be your friend’s daughter?”

Orion had already signaled his men to carefully lift me from the trunk.

He fixed an ice-cold glare on Asher.

“I met her and her parents only recently. Do you truly think I’d mistake her for someone else?”

Asher’s face drained of all color in an instant.

He stared at me resting in the guard’s arms, unable to utter a single word.

How could Angie be connected to the Sullivans?

How was this possible…

Deep regret flooded his eyes.

Once Orion confirmed I was in no life-threatening danger and merely unconscious, he turned his razor-sharp gaze back to Asher.

“Speak. Why did you hurt her?”

Asher’s expression churned wildly. He pressed his lips tightly together, refusing to speak.

Orion didn’t ask a second time.

He motioned for his men to grab one of Asher’s henchmen, pressing a gun directly against the man’s temple.

The henchman’s legs gave out instantly.

“You speak for him,” Orion said coldly. “Or die.”

Seeing the finger tighten on the trigger, the henchman broke down in sheer terror, spilling everything.

“It was for Mr. Hobbes! Mr. Blackwood did it to avenge Mr. Hobbes!”

“Because Miss Caine took first place and made Mr. Hobbes cry several times! Mr. Blackwood got furious and decided to eliminate her!”

“He ordered us to take Miss Caine out to international waters!”

Orion’s expression grew darker by the second, his eyes turning as cold as a frozen lake in deep winter.

“Yana.” He repeated the name slowly. “Very well.”

He then ordered, “Find that girl and bring her to me.”

The guards turned to act, but Asher snapped back to his senses, stepping forward to block their path.

“Orion, don’t push it! Yana is under my protection! Touching her means declaring open war against the Blackwood family, and we aren’t afraid of the Sullivans!”

As the tension hit a boiling point, a voice rang out from behind.

“What’s all the commotion here?”

Amon, Wayne, and Magnus walked up, standing shoulder-to-shoulder beside Asher.

Amon faced Orion, his voice cold and arrogant.

“Mr. Sullivan, this is our territory, and Yana is one of ours. To move against her is to move against our four families.”

Asher let out a breath of relief, a smug smirk returning to his face.

“Mr. Sullivan, no matter how powerful the Sullivans are, going up against all four families requires second thoughts, doesn’t it?”

“Let’s drop this here today.”

The moment the words left his mouth, Orion burst into a laugh.

He twisted his head and called out toward the helicopter.

“Boys, we’re being looked down on. Come out and back Angie!”
