The Intern Punishes Her Billionaire Boss Chapter 07 Taking Back My Company

I raised my hand, my posture straight and unwavering.

“I did.”

The police officers’ eyes swept across the tense scene, clearly confused by the charged atmosphere-suits – and ties scattered, faces pale with shock, the air thick with fear and unease.

“You said someone illegally seized your property. Can you elaborate on the situation?” the lead officer asked turning his attention to me.

I pointed directly at Julian, my words concise and to the point, no wasted emotion.

“Him—Julian, the acting CEO of Dreamscape Design. He attempted to collude with an accomplice to embezzle my company shares, which are worth over 500 million dollars, through illegal means.”

I paused, as if remembering something, then pointed to Ivy, who was still trembling beside Julian.

“And her-she’s his accomplice.”

Ivy’s legs gave way completely, and she crumpled to the floor in a heap, tears streaming down her face, her body shaking uncontrollably.

Julian looked ashen, his entire body trembling like a leaf in a storm. He could barely stand, his hands clutching the edge of the desk for support, his eyes wide with terror.

“No! I didn’t do it! This is a frame-up! She’s framing me!” he roared, his voice hoarse and desperate, echoing through the silent office.

The lead officer frowned, his gaze shifting back to me.

“Ma’am, do you have any evidence?”

“Of course.” I nodded, reaching into my pocket and pulling out a small USB drive. I held it out to the officer, my expression calm and confident.

“In here, you’ll find all the evidence-his illegal transfer of company assets over the past three years, his fake accounts, and his attempts to secretly dilute my shares. I’m sure it’s more than enough to put him behind bars for the rest of his life.”

In that moment, the last glimmer of hope in Julian’s eyes faded completely, snuffed out like a candle in the wind. He knew he was finished. There was no way out, no way to spin this, no way to save himself.

I didn’t even glance at him again. I turned to the two security guards, who stood frozen in place, unsure of what to do, their faces a mix of shock and confusion.

“Now-can you ‘escort’ these two out of my company?” My tone was polite, but there was an unspoken command in my words-one that brooked no refusal.

The police officers moved forward, placing Julian and Ivy under arrest. Julian went limp, like a puppet with its strings cut, and the officers had to drag him out, his feet dragging on the floor. Ivy, meanwhile, screamed and cried hysterically, hurling insults at me-calling me ungrateful, cursing me to a terrible fate.

Not a single employee dared to speak up. Everyone was frozen in place, like statues, staring at the scene unfolding before them-drama more intense than any they’d ever seen in a movie. Their faces were a mix of shock, awe, and unease; some stared wide-eyed, others bit their lips, and a few even looked away, unable to bear the sight.

When the office door closed again, muffling the chaos outside, I turned around, facing the entire Design Department still silent, still frozen, still reeling from what they’d just witnessed.

My gaze swept slowly over each person in the room, one by one. The young employees who’d once mocked me, who’d followed Ivy around like lackeys, now hung their heads in shame, unable to meet my eyes. The older, more senior employees kept their eyes down, focusing on their desks, doing their best to fade ino the background, as if avoiding my gaze would protect them from any fallout.

The atmosphere was so thick with tension, it was almost suffocating. I knew—I had to say something. I had to take control, to reassure them, to set a new tone for the company.

“Starting today,” my voice cut through the silence, clear and strong, reaching every corner of the room, Julian and Ivy are no longer employees of Dreamscape Design. I will temporarily take over all company

affairs.”

I paused, my gaze landing on Wendy-the head of the Administration Department, a woman who’d been with me since the very beginning, back when I’d first started the company out of a small office.

“Wendy, could you please send a company-wide announcement? Also, immediately revoke that so-called ‘Employee Code of Conduct.’ I will not allow my company to be a place where people get reported for something as trivial as drinking water.”

Wendy’s eyes filled with tears instantly, and she nodded vigorously, her voice trembling with emotion.

“Yes, Ms. Hale! I’ll do it right away!”
