The Intern Punishes Her Billionaire Boss Chapter 06 Calling the Police

“Call the police?”

Julian stared at Scarlett as if she’d just told the funniest joke of the century. He froze for a split second, then burst into a bitter, mocking laugh-anger seeping through every syllable.

“Scarlett, have you lost your mind? Over a trivial internal company dispute, you’re actually going to call the police? Do you want Dreamscape Design to become a laughingstock in the entire industry?”

Ivy shrieked, her voice shrill and sharp, cutting through the air like a knife.

“Who do you think you are to call the police? You’re the one who should be taken away! This is slander pure slander!”

I paid no heed to their hysteria. My gaze remained steady, my tone calm yet crisp as I spoke into the phone pressed to my ear.

“Yes, I want to report a crime. Someone has illegally seized my personal property, valued at over 500 million dollars. The location is…”

I recited the company’s address, each word clear and unwavering.

Five hundred million dollars.

The moment the number left my lips, the entire office plunged into a deathly silence. A pin dropping would have echoed like a thunderclap. If they’d dismissed this as just another petty power struggle among the top brass a moment ago, now every single person in the room realized-this was far more serious than anyone could have imagined.

The color drained from Julian’s face in an instant, turning it as pale as a sheet. He could no longer maintain the poise and composure of a CEO; for the first time, genuine terror flickered in his eyes, raw and unmasked. He fixed his gaze on me, his lips trembling uncontrollably as he stammered.

“W-what are you talking about? What five hundred million dollars?”

I hung up the phone, my cold eyes locking onto his without a hint of warmth.

“Dreamscape Design,” I said, my voice low and deliberate. “Three years ago, its market valuation was 300 million dollars. After three years of development, plus the major projects we just secured, its current market value is at least 700 million dollars. I hold 70% of the shares-tell me, isn’t that over 500 million dollars?”

I took a slow step toward him, each footfall heavy, as if pressing down on his heart, squeezing the air out of his lungs. My posture was relaxed, yet there was an undeniable intensity in my movement-like a predator closing in on its prey.

“Julian, I handed this company over to you to run properly-not to treat it as your personal treasure trove. You used your position as CEO to plant your cronies, suppress anyone who opposed you, and enforce those ridiculous rules that turned this company into a toxic mess. What was it all for?”

My voice rose sharply, my eyes sharpening into blades that seemed to pierce straight through him.

“Wasn’t it to undermine me, the largest shareholder? To chip away at my power little by little, until you

could take over the company outright, pretending it was all legitimate?”

“Y-you’re spouting nonsense!” Julian’s forehead glistened with cold sweat, but he clung to his last shred of defiance, his voice cracking with desperation. “This is a lie!”

“Am I?” I let out a cold, sardonic laugh, my gaze shifting to Ivy, who’d already turned deathly pale, her face drained of all color, as if she might collapse at any moment.

“Then tell me this so-called Ivy League elite-why can’t she even master the most basic CAD shortcuts? Why is the initial proposal she submitted to Vancove 90% identical to a draft I rejected half a year ago? A draft I threw in the trash because it was worthless?”

Ivy’s knees gave way, and she swayed, her body trembling as she struggled to stay upright/All the arrogance and haughtiness she’d displayed earlier had vanished, replaced by sheer, unadulterated fear.

I didn’t spare her another glance, turning my focus back to Julian, my stare unyielding.

“Did you really think you were being subtle? Did you think that just because I stepped back from the fron lines, I became blind and deaf? Julian, let me make one thing clear-every brick of this company, every line of code, bears my name. You thought you could pull a fast one right under my nose? You’re still too naive.”

I stopped right in front of him, leaning in slightly, my voice dropping to a whisper-soft enough that only the two of us could hear, yet sharp enough to send a chill down his spine.

“I was going to let you keep some dignity. Unfortunately, you didn’t even want that last chance.”

“N-no… that’s not true… Ms. Hale, please, let me explain…”

Julian completely panicked. He threw aside all pretense of CEO dignity, his voice trembling with supplication. It finally dawned on him–I was the real owner of this company. The woman who’d built all of this from nothing, with her own two hands, in just ten years. A woman with a backbone of steel, a force to be reckoned with. And he? He was nothing more than a proxy I’d promoted, a pawn I could discard at any

moment.

“It’s too late.” I cut him off coldly, no trace of mercy in my voice.

Just then, a commotion erupted at the company’s entrance. Several police officers in uniform walked in, their expressions serious as they scanned the room.

“Excuse me, who reported the crime?” one of them asked, his voice firm.
