The Intern Punishes Her Billionaire Boss Chapter 5 The Truth Revealed

The moment my words left my lips, the Design Department was plunged into a deafening silence. It was as if the very air had solidified, and every breath seemed to be held in collective shock.

All eyes were fixed on the three of us – me, Julian, and Ivy – a tableau of disbelief.

Ivy’s self-satisfied smirk vanished, replaced by a look of sheer horror. Her face contorted, like a mask of shock that had been violently cracked. She opened her mouth, but no sound came out, her eyes wide with incredulity as she stared at me, as if I were some alien creature.

Julian, however, was quicker to react. After the initial jolt of surprise, his face hardened into a mask of anger his eyes blazing with a mix of fury and disbelief.

“Scarlett,” he hissed through clenched teeth, his voice laced with venom. “Do you have any idea what you’re saying? Who do you think you are?”

“Who am I?” I met his angry gaze unflinchingly. “I’m the founder of Dreamscape, the chairperson of this company, and the holder of 70% of its shares. Does that answer your question?”

With each word, Julian’s face grew paler, his composure slipping. When I mentioned the 70% stake, his eyes widened in alarm, a flicker of fear crossing his features. But he quickly tried to regain his composure, though it was a thinly veiled attempt.

“Heh,” he let out a scornful laugh. “Scarlett, it seems the years away from day-to-day management have clouded your judgment. Chairperson? You handed over the CEO position to me three years ago. You’re no longer in charge. And as for those shares… how do we know you’re not bluffing? Even if you do have them, firing the CEO requires a board meeting. You’re making a fool of yourself with this outburst.”

His words seemed to give Ivy a newfound courage.

“Exactly!” she screeched. “Mr. Cole is the real authority here! Who do you think you are? Just an old has – been trying to stir up trouble! You’re clearly in the wrong, causing chaos in the company!”

She turned to the other employees, trying to rally them. “Everyone sees this, right? This is blatant disrespect for the CEO and an attempt to disrupt our workplace. She should be kicked out immediately!”

But no one responded. The young designers who’d once sided with her now avoided her gaze, looking down at their desks, ashamed. The older employees, on the other hand, regarded her with pity, as if she were a child throwing a tantrum.

Julian, realizing the lack of support, grew angrier. He bellowed towards the door, “Security! Get in here and remove this troublemaker from the premises!”

He was determined to end this confrontation on his terms, confident that in front of the staff, I was just a powerless figure from the past. If he could oust me, his authority would be absolute.

Moments later, two security guards rushed in. “Mr. Cole, what’s the situation?”

Julian pointed at me, his voice cold as ice. “Escort this woman out. She’s no longer an employee of Dreamscape.”

Ivy sneered down at me, her eyes alight with malicious glee. “You heard him. You thought you could get

away with your antics. Now you’re getting what you deserve!”

The security guards looked uncomfortable but approached me nonetheless. “Ms. Scarlett, please don’t make this difficult for us…”

The entire room seemed to be holding its breath.

I looked at Julian, the last vestiges of hope and respect I’d had for him now completely gone. Slowly, I reached into my pocket and pulled out my phone’.

Then, in full view of everyone, I dialed three numbers. “Hello? Is this 911? I’d like to report an incident.”

The color drained from Julian and Ivy’s faces, their expressions frozen in shock.
