My CEO Toy Turned Out to Be the Lost Heir Chapter 03

I interrupted him, saying seriously:

“It’s okay, you don’t need to help me”.

“You go down and have breakfast first”.

A flash of surprise and uncertainty crossed Julian’s eyes.

After a pause, he just said coldly:

“Fine, suit yourself”.

But he was acting so weird…

The stairs in the mansion aren’t even that high, so why did he trip twice on his way out?

Worried that Julian would be late, I specifically told the chauffeur to take him to campus while I drove myself to the boutique to pick up the necklace I ordered last night.

I thought Julian would be happy not to be pestered by me on the way to school.

But when I entered the lecture hall, I saw him sitting in the front row, staring gloomily at the door.

It wasn’t until he saw me that his tightly knit brows relaxed slightly.

…Who upset him now?

I ignored Julian’s gesture toward the empty seat next to him and trotted to the very back row.

With my grades hovering near failing, how could I possibly sit next to a scholar like him?

I intended to listen to the lecture seriously, but my attention span for studying is like that of a toddler.

I endured until the break and was about to nap on the desk when I saw a girl approach Julian.

The comments started appearing again:

[Julian really is the star student. People are already asking him for notes during the break.]

[I’m getting anxious. Why hasn’t the female lead appeared yet? This girl is clearly just using questions as an excuse to get his contact info.]

[Just watch. The toxic female lead is going to lose it. Her classic line is ‘How dare you flirt with other women?’, right?]

My phone buzzed. It was a report from Julian:

[A girl asked me for help with a problem.]

In the past, I would have been furious, seeing this as a total provocation!

Plus, he was sitting and she was standing—with his massive chest right there, wasn’t she getting a full view?!

But now, I had changed.

I replied very reasonably:

[Oh, okay. You don’t need to tell me about small things like this.]

Julian:

[…Small things?]

The chat bubble showed “typing” for a long time.

Eventually, he sent a new message:

[Why don’t you care about me talking to other girls anymore?]

[Are you still mad about yesterday?]

[The compression tank hasn’t arrived yet. I’ll wear it as soon as it gets here.]

I really don’t understand Julian’s logic. Why are we back to the tank again?

And Julian is going to meet his destined female lead anyway… I can’t control that.

I thought for a moment and replied seriously:

[I’m not mad, don’t overthink it.]

[I just think everyone has the right to make friends.]

[You can talk to girls normally; there’s no need to report everything to me.]

I suddenly heard a “thud” and saw Julian in the front row picking up his phone—the screen protector was completely shattered.
