I Kidnapped The Mafia Don, Tied Him To My Bed Chapter 02

Caspian Ferretti was out cold.

I wrestled his coat off. Then stared at the muscle barely hidden under his white shirt. Old scars marked his skin. My heart hammered. My mouth went dry.

I dug through the closet. Found the pile of ties I’d wanted to give him over the years but never had the guts. Each one had his initials stitched inside.

Today, they finally had a use.

I tied his wrists and ankles to the bed. Finished the whole setup. Lost my strength and collapsed on the edge of the mattress.

Right above me, his sleeping face. Peaceful now. The killer edge had faded. Almost gentle.

But I could imagine the storm when he woke.

Like the time his mother suggested we get married. He’d gone nuclear. Didn’t come home for two weeks.

I couldn’t blink. Couldn’t stop staring.

Kept thinking I’d never see this again in a few days. Wanted to memorize every line.

I’d been a good, selfless person for over twenty years. At the end, I wanted to be selfish.

Even if he hated me.

That way, when I died, he wouldn’t grieve at all.

His phone in his coat pocket wouldn’t stop ringing. His underboss.

No hesitation. Didn’t want to wake him. I answered. “Don Ferretti’s exhausted. He’s sleeping next to me.”

Silence on the line for two seconds. “Understood.”

Mafia men knew exactly when to shut up.

My eyelids got heavier. I climbed onto the bed. Wrapped my arms around Caspian’s waist. Sank into deep sleep.

I woke to Caspian’s roar in the middle of the night.

“Zoya!”

I shot upright.

“Zoya! What the hell are you doing?”

What was I doing?

I propped myself on my elbow. Smiled at him. “Guess.”

Caspian’s face went darker. He strained against his wrists. The ties bit into his skin. He didn’t even flinch.

I said, “Since you’re awake, let’s get down to business.”

His brows furrowed deep. Both arms fought the restraints.

I shut my eyes and threw myself on top of him. “Stop moving! Listen!”

Caspian’s jaw was clenched so tight it could crack stone. “Have you lost your mind?”

I lifted my head slightly. My face was no more than four inches from his. “I’m perfectly sane.”

“Then what are you doing?”

“I got you into my bed. What do you think I want?”

Caspian’s pupils contracted sharply. In his eyes, rage swallowed everything else.

“Zoya! I’m Caspian Ferretti! Don’t you have any shame?”

I didn’t want to hear it. I grabbed a scarf from the nightstand and shoved it into his mouth.

His birthday gift to me last year.

I ignored his blazing eyes. “Shut up!”

“I’m going to kiss you. Don’t interrupt.”

I ripped the scarf out. Didn’t give him a chance to speak. Shut my eyes and kissed him hard.

Clumsy fingers tore at his shirt. Buttons scattered to the floor.

I moved like someone escaping the apocalypse. Desperate for an exit. I had too much emotion. Just wanted to dissolve into him.

After, Caspian’s face was flushed. Like he’d suffered some great humiliation.

I didn’t want to look. Got dressed. Headed for the bathroom.

Caspian called out as I turned to leave.

“Zoya Carter!”

I looked back. “What?”

His eyes were red with fury. “Untie me if you’ve got any guts.”

I paused a second. Then shrugged. Smiled. “I will. Just not yet.”
