The Entire Pack Chose My Alpha’s First Love, So I Canceled the Luna Ceremony Chapter 08

The Entire Pack Chose My Alpha’s First Love, So I Canceled the Luna Ceremony Chapter 08

Opening day. The moment I unlocked the front door, Maria burst in with a group of Pack members who’d been close to me.

“Madison, we all left Frostvale Pack. Will you take us?”

I blinked.

“This place just started. I can only pay seventy percent of what Frostvale offered.”

They exchanged glances.

“At least our work will have our own names on it.”

That one sentence made the decision for me.

That night, Maria called. Her voice was different.

“Madison, this is bad!”

“Remember the Moonstorm Showcase video? Someone posted it online!”

I clicked the Packnet link she sent.

A blogger had captured footage of Aurora’s staff talking backstage on the day of the brand launch.

In the video, a crew member warned Aurora about the Moonstorm alert.

Aurora waved it off. “Don’t stop. The harder it rains, the more buzz we get.”

The crew member asked, “Won’t the Luna refuse?”

Aurora smirked. “She won’t dare. If she refuses, Joseph will make her life hell.”

Sure enough, the Moonstorm hit. I fell in the rain.

Aurora had put on a protective cloak for herself, then told the camera crew to keep rolling and push

in closer.

The blogger ended the video with a single question.

[Turning a woman’s body and dignity into brand engagement. Is this what Frostvale Pack means by fearless and free?]

Within two hours, the video had over ten million views.

Aurora’s first move was a public statement claiming I had volunteered and then deliberately fell to

sabotage her.

The next second, the stylist released their chat logs.

Aurora had checked the weather forecast three days in advance. She had specifically insisted the dress have no lining.

[She’s got a great body. Once she’s soaked, that’s what goes viral.]

That line set the internet on fire.

She tried to scrub everything overnight. It was already too late.

People traced her connection to Joseph and dug up the Luna Ceremony footage.

The screenshot of all fifty votes going to Aurora hit the top of Packnet’s trending page all over

again.

Then Frostvale Pack members started leaking anonymously. Project credit reassignment records. My clearance revocation notice.

And a recording from Joseph’s address to the Elder Council.

His voice, clear as day: [Madison won’t make a fuss. She can’t survive without Frostvale Pack. She

can’t survive without me.]

Joseph and Aurora became public enemy number one overnight. Aurora scrambled to do damage

control online, flailing in every direction.

But the Alpha’s office at Frostvale Pack stayed conspicuously silent. Not a single statement.

The Pack Council, however, did issue a decision. They moved to strip Joseph of his Alpha title.

At one in the morning, Joseph called.

“The video. That wasn’t you, was it?”

I answered calmly. “No.”

He exhaled with relief.

“I knew it. I knew you couldn’t bring yourself to destroy me.”

I shook my head.

“Joseph, you’ve got it wrong.”

“It’s not about whether I could bring myself to destroy you.”

“It’s that everything you did was more than enough to destroy yourself.”

The line went dead silent.

The next morning, I arrived at the studio to find over a dozen clients already lined up outside.

The woman at the front of the line handed me a contract.

“Madison, we’re not here out of pity.”

“We’ve seen your previous work. We trust your ability.”

I took the contract and signed my name on the project lead line.

Madison Ashford.

This time, no one replaced it. And I was finally no one’s afterthought.

I was just me.
