He Gambled Away Our Bonding Ceremony and Now He’s Begging for It Back Chapter 07

After I left, Bianca moved her things into the house.

She set her suitcase in the master bedroom and smiled at Aldric.

“You won the bet. Honeymoon, remember? The house wasn’t part of the bet, but Iris is gone. Me staying here

isn’t unreasonable, right?”

For the first time, Aldric didn’t give in.

“Get out.”

Her smile froze.

“What?”

“I said get out.”

He pushed her luggage back to the door.

“The ceremony’s over. The bets are done. You want the honeymoon? Go by yourself.”

Bianca laughed.

“Aldric. You put the ring on my finger. Walked me down the aisle. Used Iris’s money to give me a ceremony. And now you’re telling me it was just a game? What am I to you?”

He was quiet for a moment.

“A friend.”

Her eyes went cold.

“Have you ever seen a man humiliate his future mate over and over for a friend?”

“Every single time, you chose me. And now Iris doesn’t want you anymore. You’re putting on this whole

heartbroken act. Who’s it even for?”

That sentence tore open what Aldric had never admitted.

He knew he played favorites. He just liked having two women circling him.

Bianca gave him excitement. I was always there. Steady. Cleaning up his messes.

So he couldn’t say no to Bianca. And never actually believed I’d leave.

Aldric’s face was ashen.

“Those bets. You suggested them on purpose.”

Bianca didn’t deny it.

“Yes. I wanted to see who mattered more. Her or me.”

“She was so easy. Gave up the ring. The photos. Let me redo her entire master bedroom.”

She was laughing so hard tears ran down her face.

“Every time I won, it felt amazing. But I never said I’d be with you. We’re not fated mates. I just liked winning things from Iris.”

Aldric stared at her for a long time. Then he opened the door.

“Get out.”

Bianca dropped all pretense after that. She posted the wedding online.

Claimed Aldric manipulated her. Said he was behind everything. The bride swap. The contract changes. All of it. She packaged herself as another victim.

Then the venue released the hallway footage.

Bianca picking out her bouquet. Editing the seating chart.

A staff member asked if this would hurt the real bride. She laughed. “Iris can’t leave Aldric. She’ll cry for two

days. Then she’ll get over it.”

Public opinion flipped instantly. She lost her job. Her friends dropped her.

The pack members who told me to be the bigger person at the ceremony sent apology messages.

I didn’t respond to a single one. Late justice didn’t undo the fun they’d had at my expense.

A month later, Aldric found my family’s little pack.

He brought a car full of gifts. Stood outside the gate from morning until dark. My father never opened the

door.

When the rain started in the evening, Aldric finally called through the gate. “Sir. Ma’am. I know I was wrong. Please. Tell me where she is.”

My father pushed open the courtyard gate. Hope flickered in Aldric’s eyes. Then my father threw everything he’d brought back out.

“You said our people talk too loud. Let me be clear this time. My daughter will not marry you. I will ask the Moon Goddess to sever the bond.”
