They Rejected an SSS Bloodline, Big Mistake Chapter 06

They Rejected an SSS Bloodline, Big Mistake Chapter 06

I opened the video my friend sent me.

The Silvermoon Pack Great Hall was packed with people. On the stone wall at the front, a line of

golden runes was inlaid-

[Congratulations to Ashford family’s beloved daughter on her promotion ranking!]

Delilah stood center stage in that heavy lace gown, the moonstone of the chandelier making her

glow.

The tribe’s score keeper from Central Territory stepped up with his attendants and held a microphone to her mouth.

“Miss Delilah, congratulations on your A- rating.”

“As the dark horse of this year’s coming-of-age trial, can you share your training methods with everyone here?”

A flash of guilt crossed Delilah’s face, but it was quickly drowned out by applause from the crowd.

She held the microphone and smiled sweetly. “It’s really nothing special. I just followed the elders’ training plan, and my family has always supported me so much.”

Dad and my brother stood beaming beside her, and Mom smiled so hard her eyes crinkled.

Then the score keeper turned to my parents on stage. “I heard the Ashfords have two daughters. Why do we only see one today? Where is the other?”

Mom waved her hand, her tone laced with casual disdain. “Who knows where she ran off. She hasn’t answered messages all day.

“Her rating’s nothing special, she’s probably embarrassed and hiding. Let’s not talk about her- she’s not the focus of today anyway.”

Dad jumped in. “That’s right. Our older daughter’s always been quiet, doesn’t do well in front of crowds. Just leave her be.”

My brother Dorian added with a smile from the side. “My other sister only ever scores Con practice runs, she can’t hold a candle to my little sister.”

Gideon stood next to Delilah, nodding and smiling along. “It’s not just the rating. Delilah’s more

likable in personality and looks too.

“You guys came to record the right person today.”

I stared at Gideon’s handsome, unrecognizable face in the video.

We’d been together three years, and he never even figured out I’d been hiding my real score on

every practice run.

I did it on purpose to not steal Delilah’s thunder, so my parents wouldn’t go home screaming at me

for “showing off on purpose”.

Even after they sent that “I’ll take you to pick a gown” text this morning, they thought they’d done their duty as parents and never checked on me again.

They still hadn’t even noticed I blocked them and left the group chat.

I opened the second video.

The recording was almost over, and the score keeper was doing his final identity check.

“Miss Delilah, let’s confirm your identity information for the tribal yearbook.”

The score keeper looked down at his tablet, and his brow furrowed suddenly.

“The SSS-ranked clanswoman ranked first in the tribe, third across all territories, registered in the system, is named Seraphina Ashford.

“You… are you not Seraphina Ashford?”

The score keeper’s question froze the entire room for three full seconds.

Mom yanked frantically on the score keeper’s sleeve, forcing a smile. “You must be mistaken, sir! This is my younger daughter Lila, she got an A- rating.

“Sera’s my older daughter. She’s always been a bad student, her wolf is weak too-how could it be

her?”

The score keeper’s face darkened immediately. “This is data verified by the Elder Council Tribunal.

“We came here today to record Seraphina Ashford, third across all territories. If this is not her, we won’t waste any more of your time.”

The microphone was cut off abruptly.
