The video Raven sent ended before Kieran could finish his next sentence.

But what he’d already revealed was enough.

I stared at my phone, replaying his words over and over.

Another secret?

Selene had never been sick. She had never been the one who saved Ryker all those years ago. He had

thanked the wrong woman.

Ryker spent years repaying a debt that never existed.

And in the process, he sacrificed me. He sacrificed our mate bond.

All because of a lie.

I slowly exhaled and turned my phone face down on my lap.

The last time I’d seen Ryker fall apart like this was years ago, when he and Selene first separated.

Back then, he’d locked himself inside his room for three days.

I had brought him meals. But he hadn’t touched a single bite.

Now, he was breaking again.

Only this time, I wasn’t going to put the pieces back together.

I glanced at the time. Only a few hours remained before my flight to Europe.

The International Academy of Floral Arts had already contacted me twice, urging me to arrive as soon as

possible.

I showered. Changed clothes. Packed my luggage.

Just before reaching the airport, Raven texted me.

[You’re really leaving without seeing him one last time?]

I replied almost instantly.

[Why would I?]

She answered with nothing more than an eye-roll emoji.

I had just passed security and was walking toward my gate when someone suddenly grabbed my wrist.

“Elara!”

“Please… I was wrong. I was really wrong.”

I turned around. Ryker stood there.

His face was deathly pale. Bloodshot eyes. Disheveled hair. His shirt collar was wrinkled beyond recognition.

His breathing was ragged.

His hands trembled violently as he fumbled inside his coat before pulling out a folded document.

“We can still fix this. The mate bond can still be restored. It’s not too late.”

I lowered my gaze.

The title across the top read: Mate Bond Severance Agreement.

Below it were both of our signatures.

I looked at the paper for several long seconds.

Then calmly pulled it from his hand.

“Ryker.” My voice remained steady.

“I don’t feel anything for you anymore.”

“I still know who you are. But I don’t love you. So let’s end this here. Don’t keep chasing something that’s

already gone.”

His face instantly lost all color.

“No! We agreed we’d restore the bond! I made a mistake! I’ll change! I’ll make everything right!”

Tears streamed down his face.

The proud Alpha who once ruled the Blackwood Pack looked ready to kneel in the middle of the airport.

Nearby travelers had already begun staring.

“We already severed our mate bond. You were the one who made me drink the Lethe Elixir. Have you

forgotten?”

I tried to pull my hand away. He refused to let go.

His grip tightened desperately.

“Ryker.” I looked at him quietly.

“You’re an Alpha. Have some dignity.”

Still, he wouldn’t release me.

Suddenly, another hand shoved him away.

“Elara, Go. Now.”

Kieran stepped between us. His expression was ice cold.

“Enough, Ryker. It’s over.”

Ryker froze.

Before he could react, Kieran’s fist slammed squarely into his jaw.

The Alpha staggered backward several steps. His wolf didn’t surge forward. He didn’t fight back.

He simply stood there in stunned silence.

I never looked back again.

I picked up my suitcase and walked toward the boarding gate.

Before leaving the Blackwood Pack House, I had already taken everything that belonged to me.

Even the flower arrangements I’d created, I dismantled every bouquet before I left.

It wasn’t out of hate. It was just-if I was going to turn the page, I was going to do it completely.
