My Groom Swapped Brides at the Altar So I Swapped Grooms in the Parking Lot Chapter 11

Brandon’s face darkened visibly.

“Sloane.” He bit off each word. “Are you done with this?”

He did not give her a chance to respond.

He grabbed her arm.

The next second, another hand shot in from the side and clamped down on Brandon’s wrist.

“Let go.

Brandon looked up and saw the man standing behind Sloane.

“Who the hell are you?”

Cole pushed forward, planting himself in front of Brandon.

“You’re the guy who…”

He recognized him.

The one who was supposed to marry Delia.

The one who had taken the money and become part of the bride switch.

“This is Brandon Astor of Astor Industries. Save yourself the trouble and walk away.”

Marcus joined in.

“Yeah, Sloane and Brandon are just messing around. Why are you butting in? Keep it up and we’re calling security.”

Nathaniel Whitman’s face did not change.

“I said let go of my wife’s hand.” He looked at Brandon. “Are you deaf?”

Brandon’s temper flared.

“You call her what? Who do you think you are, talking to me like…”

“Brandon,” Sloane said.

He looked at her.

“Try it,” she said, her voice soft. “See what happens.”

Brandon froze.

“You want more people to find out about your obsession with your brother’s widow? About the bride switch

you planned?”

“Touch him, and you’re on the front page tomorrow.”

She finished it.

“You…” It was not fear in Brandon’s voice.

It was panic.

He had never heard Sloane talk to him like that.

Cold.

Serious.

No room for negotiation.

Cole pointed at Nathaniel, his voice climbing an octave.

“Back off from her! Just because you played the groom for a day doesn’t mean you’re anything. Want me to

make sure you don’t walk out of here?”

Nathaniel looked at Cole.

The corner of his mouth curved.

“You really don’t want to do that,” he said flatly.

“What are you gonna do about it?” Cole jabbed a finger toward his chest.

The fist came faster than anyone could follow.

No one saw Nathaniel move.

Just a heavy thud, and Cole flew backward half a meter, crashing into a chair behind him

He crumpled to the floor, clutching his nose, blood seeping through his fingers.

Marcus stumbled back three steps, pale as paper.

Brandon’s fists clenched, but he did not move.

So this was Delia’s ninth blind date?

The one who was supposed to disappear after delivering Sloane to the cottage?

“You…”

Brandon’s voice came through gritted teeth, fury barely contained.

Right in the middle of the standoff, the lights in the center of the ballroom dimmed.

The crowd stirred for a second, then fell silent.

The emcee’s voice echoed through the hall.

“And now, please welcome the host of this year’s Claremont Business Summit, Mr. Alex Marshall, chairman

of Marshall Trading Group, for his keynote address.”

Everyone’s attention pivoted toward the stage.

Sloane grabbed Nathaniel’s hand.

“Run.”
