The Overlooked Twin Is the Pack’s S-Class Warrior Chapter 07

The first one to find me was Dad.

He got my class schedule through my academic advisor. The second the lecture ended, I walked out and saw him in the hallway.

Two months. He looked ten years older. Half his hair had gone white, and his back wasn’t so straight anymore.

The moment he spotted me, his eyes went red. He rushed forward, reaching for my hand. “Katherine! I finally found you!”

I stepped back before he could touch me. “What do you want?”

Dad froze mid-gesture, forcing a pleading smile. “Katherine, come home. Your mom cries every day—she’s practically making herself sick over this. Sarah’s walking around like a ghost. The whole house is a disaster.”

I stared at him, cold. “What’s that got to do with me?”

“How can you say that?” His voice cracked. “That’s your family! You—you left in such a hurry, you didn’t even take your official documents. You have to come back and get them.”

I let out a short laugh. “I don’t need them. Keep them for Sarah.”

My words hit him like a slap. His face flushed, and I could see him fighting the urge to explode. But something in my eyes made him swallow it back. He sighed and softened his tone.

“Katherine, I know you blame us for playing favorites. But you’re being unreasonable! Why didn’t you tell us you’re an S-class? If we’d known, we would never have treated you like that.”

I looked at him, and the absurdity of it almost made me laugh.
“So you’re saying if I weren’t an S-class, I deserved how you treated me?”

He faltered. “I—that’s not what I meant.”

“Let me be clear.” I cut him off, my voice low but each word sharp. “I’m doing fine now. Leave me alone. If you show up here again, I’ll change my number and vanish for good.”

I turned and walked into a study room. I didn’t look back.

The second one was Owen.

He cornered me right outside my dorm. He still wore that same superior look, but with an edge of irritation now.

He sized me up as I approached with a bag of fruit and scoffed. “Wow, look at you. Too good to even acknowledge your own parents?”

I walked right past him, treating him like a barking dog.

Owen lost it. He snatched the plastic bag out of my hand and hurled it to the ground. Oranges scattered everywhere. “Katherine, I’m talking to you! Are you deaf?”

I stopped and turned to face him. “Are you actually insane right now?”

“I’m the one who’s sick?” he snapped. “You have no idea how bad you’ve screwed us over! The whole pack is laughing at our family. Can’t you cut Mom and Dad a break for once?”
