The Lazy Girl Won the Survival Show Chapter 04

Once again, both of them choked on my words.

Sienna’s smile almost slipped off her face.

The live chat was laughing itself sick.

“Perfect counterattack. She blocked them with their own words.”

“Mara Quinn: lazy, but with an excellent memory.”

But some fans were still spamming the chat.

“Beautiful and kind Sienna Vale! Evil little villain Mara Quinn!”

Meanwhile, the production crew was thrilled.

The director stared at the backstage data shooting up and saw that it had already broken previous records.

Excited, he told someone beside him to create a small situation for added drama.

Just then, a staff member ran over and said to me apologetically, “I’m so sorry. When we were cleaning up just now, we accidentally took your backpack too.”

“And now… we can’t find it.”

Before I could speak, Grant laughed first, full of gloating.

“Well, karma came fast.”

Sienna pretended to comfort me.

“Mara, don’t be too upset.”

“This is good in a way. Now none of us has food. It’s fair.”

I shrugged.

“Whatever. If it’s lost, it’s lost.”

There wasn’t much left inside anyway.

Sienna looked pleased.

She clearly thought I was pretending to be calm.

The director watched the viewership climb again because of this “accident” and nodded in satisfaction.

Then he used the moment to announce a new rule.

“Since all contestants have lost their supplies, from this point on, everyone must find food for themselves.”

“Forage and survive.”

For a group of spoiled celebrities, this was a disaster.

Everyone huddled together, completely lost.

Sienna stepped forward, continuing to play the team leader.

“Don’t panic, everyone. If we work together, we’ll definitely find food.”

“We can live off the land and make ourselves a proper forest feast.”

Her speech was passionate.

Then she started assigning tasks.

Someone would find wild greens.

Someone would catch fish in the river.

Someone would search the woods for game.

But she didn’t explain how to do any of it.

A line of question marks floated through the live chat.

“She said a lot and said nothing.”

“All empty words. Do these celebrities even know what wild greens look like? Can they catch fish?”

“This sounds exactly like my boss making fake promises.”

After assigning the tasks, Sienna turned around like she had just remembered I existed.

She sighed.

“Mara, we won’t invite you to join us.”

“Last night, we went through hardship together. You didn’t help us.”

“So now, I’m sure you don’t need our help either.”

I didn’t even lift my eyelids.

“Fine. You do yours. I’ll do mine.”

Honestly, after production announced we had to find our own food, I was a little excited.

I grew up in the countryside.

To me, this mountain was a giant buffet.

That afternoon, I came back with a pouch full of fresh wild berries.

Sienna’s “forest feast” team also returned.

They were covered in dirt and exhaustion.

And empty-handed.

They saw mushrooms, but didn’t know if they were poisonous.

They wanted to dig up wild greens, but couldn’t tell grass from edible plants.

They wanted to catch fish, but mountain fish weren’t exactly waiting to be grabbed.

Now every pair of eyes was locked on my berries.

Sienna looked at me with that gentle smile again and opened her mouth.

I saw what she was thinking and cut her off first.

“We agreed from the beginning. You do yours. I do mine.”

When I saw she still wanted to speak, I widened my eyes in fake surprise.

“No way. Don’t tell me a whole group of you actually wants to eat one person’s food?”

Sienna swallowed the words in her mouth.

Her face looked terrible.

The others awkwardly looked away.

I put the berries down and went nearby to check the water source.

But when I came back to camp…

The pouch of berries was gone.

My face cooled.

I walked straight over to Sienna’s group.

“Where are my berries?”

Grant spoke first, his tone dripping with mockery.

“What? You lost something again? You lost your backpack this morning, and now you lost something else?”

Sienna followed softly.

“You keep losing things. Maybe you should reflect on whether your habits are the problem.”

I looked at them.

In their eyes, I saw certainty.

They were certain I had no proof.

They were certain I wouldn’t dare rip things open on camera.

Too bad I didn’t play that game.

I looked directly at her.

“Sienna Vale, you stole them.”
