This guy was the first person I met at college.

He’d helped me carry my luggage, all super enthusiastic.

His reason: he wanted me to join the debate team.

I can’t even win an argument, so debating was out.

But he kept pushing and kept bothering me.

Ethan stood in front of me and smirked. “Let’s see how you’re gonna make me blush.”

I thought back to how I used to make Julian blush.

His ears seemed to be the most sensitive spot.

So I leaned close to Ethan’s ear and whispered one sentence.

“Ethan, your fly is open.”

In a split second, Ethan looked down and blushed like a tomato.

Heh, got him.

Everyone laughed and wondered what I said to him.

I stayed mysterious and kept quiet.

Halfway through, I went to the bathroom.

The restroom by the field was dark.

I was kind of spooked.

Got in and out fast.

When I came out, a figure was standing under a tree.

“Ethan, could you just…” stop trying to recruit me for debate club.

But when I got closer, I saw it was Julian.

His already gloomy face looked even darker.

I tried to walk around him.

Julian blocked me, his voice icy. “Elena, have you decided to chase someone else now?”

“You sure are nosy. Weren’t you the one pretending not to know me?”

“I didn’t.”

He froze, then it clicked.

“It was too hot, I wasn’t wearing glasses. I didn’t realize you were in the neighboring group until just now—I only recognized you up close.”

I studied him.

His eyes did look a bit unfocused.

He’s nearsighted—six hundred degrees.

Five meters out, and he can’t tell a person from a tree.

No wonder he never looked at me.

“Elena, what’s your relationship with that guy…”

A voice cut in.

Ethan shouted: “Guys, time to gather!”

For the rest of camp, I nearly passed out from the heat.

And the Danmaku kept shipping their CP.

If Julian and Iris so much as exchanged a glance or a few words, the Danmaku would lose its mind.

I didn’t talk to Julian again.

Because if I accidentally walked past him, I’d get called a scheming evil woman.

On the last day of camp, Ethan bought me bubble tea.

Still not giving up on recruiting me for debate.

At a fried chicken joint, I ran into Julian.

He was wearing the shop’s black apron, which showed off his broad shoulders and narrow waist.

Ethan handed me my fried chicken.

I noticed my box had way more fries than usual.

Confused, I looked back.

Just then Iris came from the back to talk to Julian about the evening shift.

So they worked together.

They made a handsome couple.

Anyone would say they looked good together.

Ethan was furious and finally stopped pestering me.

For one elective, I got there super early.

Other students filed in.

A tall figure suddenly came over to my desk.

I glanced sideways and met Julian’s gloomy face.

He was actually wearing shaded lenses today.

Strangely, he was dressed in a white shirt and black pants.

Just like Ethan’s usual outfit.

Julian used to only wear sportswear.

How come after starting a relationship, he changed his whole style?

Before Julian could sit down, I quickly said, “This seat’s taken.”

His eyes darkened, and he sat behind me without a word.
