The Midnight Show That Ended with My Husband’s Affair Chapter 15

The Midnight Show That Ended with My Husband’s Affair Chapter 15 Your Own Delusion

The violent shove tore directly through Spencer’s pierced lung and the knife wounds on his back

Agony ripped through every nerve in his body. His large frame rolled to the side.

I stood up from the floor with perfect composure.

I didn’t look at Spencer, who was convulsing in pain on the ground.

I didn’t scream for an ambulance in panic, nor did I throw myself over him to stop the bleeding.

I brushed a few specks of dust off my coat. My breathing hadn’t even changed pace.

“Are you alright, Ma’am?” My bodyguard and assistant rushed over, faces pale with terror.

I raised my hand slightly, signaling them to step back.

I turned around and looked down at Spencer, who lay in a pool of blood, his eyes fixed on me closely.

“Spencer.”

My voice wasn’t loud, but in the chaotic hall, it rang out with terrible clarity.

Every word was an ice blade, stabbing into Spencer’s already shattered heart.

“That day, when I lay on the emergency room bed, hemorrhaging, screaming in agony, begging for your help-”

“You forced me out of my career-just to protect another woman’s reputation, to shield that liar Summer Vance. You made me sign that humiliating public apology. You even forced me to give up the hospital bed I needed to survive..”

“What? You think that just because you changed the time and place, and took a few knives for me today. everything from the past is wiped clean?”

“No… that’s not it, Lena… I really wanted… to give you my life…”

Spencer lay in the blood, shaking his head in despair.

“Taking those knives for me today was your own delusion.”

I cut him off, leaning down slightly, my emotionless eyes boring into his fading pupils.

“What, you think just because you’re dying right now, I owe you forgiveness? That I should be grateful, cry tears of joy, and put on some big reconciliation scene?”

I straightened up. A flash of pure disgust crossed my eyes.

“Let me tell you something real, Spencer.”

I looked down at him from above, my red lips parting to deliver the most devastating blow.

“You think a worthless life can wash away the blood debt you owe my child?”

“Spencer. You. Don’t. Deserve it. Clear? Stop dreaming.”

He didn’t deserve it.

He had risked his life, shattered his organs, but in her eyes, he wasn’t even qualified to atone. His life-in her eyes-was a worthless thing not even worthy of gratitude.

“Lena…”

Spencer stared at me blankly. The last light in his eyes went out completely.

“Preston is waiting for me outside. The smell of blood here is making me sick.”

Without a second’s pause, I turned my back on him decisively.

“Lock down the scene. Cooperate with the police investigation. As for this man-”

I ordered my bodyguards coldly.

“If he dies, call the funeral home. If he lives, dump him at any hospital, Don’t bother me.”

With that, I walked quickly toward the emergency exit, my high heels clicking on the floor.

“Doctor! Call an ambulance! He’s stopped breathing!”

The venue’s medical staff rushed over in panic, trying to stop the blood pumping from Spencer’s wounds.

But Spencer lay like a corpse already.

He lay in the blood, letting the medical staff work on him.

His dead eyes stared in the direction of the door.

He watched my back. Watched me step over the debris. Watched the hem of my coat disappear behind the door.

From beginning to end, that woman never once looked back.

His heart died. Spencer coughed up a last mouthful of black blood.

“Lena…”

He slowly reached out his bloody, mangled hand toward where I had gone. He grasped only air.
