The Alpha’s Discarded Luna: A Fated Rebirth Chapter 08

The Alpha’s Discarded Luna: A Fated Rebirth Chapter 08

“You!” Seraphina’s face fell, her expression instantly sour. A flicker of anger crossed her eyes, quickly replaced by fear.

“Can’t handle that? Don’t think I don’t know your pack is struggling in the North and wants to rely on the Blackwood Pack to survive. You’re right, among wolf packs, there are only eternal interests. This is a perfect opportunity for us to absorb your pack.”

Seraphina’s face stiffened. She saw my confident smile and my father’s supportive expression, knowing I wasn’t joking. Finally, fear gripped her.

After a moment, she spoke again, her voice trembling slightly, trying to use her last shred of leverage to win me over.

“Don’t be like this, Alpha Lyra, I was actually helping you! Kael is such a fickle scoundrel. Wouldn’t you have lost everything if you stayed with him your whole life? I tested him for you, which counts as cutting your losses in time. You kicked him out; and you will get your second chance soon,l bet!”

Kael was furious and indignant, glaring at her.

Just moments ago, this woman had been tender and considerate, speaking of their love child and

vowing to mated no one but him.

Now, to save herself, she was belittling him so cruelly.

Kael lunged at Seraphina in a rage, like a wild beast.

“That’s not what you said when you came back for me! You said you couldn’t forget me all these years, that no matter what my status, you only wanted to be with me! Even if I was a mated wolf, you couldn’t resist your love for me! How can you say such things about me now?”

Seraphina recoiled in disgust, as if he were trash.

“You actually believed that excuse? No wonder I always wondered how the Alpha could have such a foolish son. Turns out he’s not even biological. I left you back then because you had no value. You stupid wolf, you heal your wounds and forget the pain. All it takes is a little finger hook, and you’ll come running

back to me.

“If I hadn’t thought you were the Blackwood Pack’s only heir, and with the Moonlit Forest now belonging to the Blackwood territory, do you think I would have dared to mate to you? After all, you’re so easily fooled. What if other she-wolves hook you in the future and you cheat again? Now you’re nothing. I wouldn’t even let you polish my shoes; you’re too dirty!”

Kael clutched his chest in anger. Seeing a hint of pity on my mother’s face, he saw a glimmer of hope.

“Mother, you still have feelings for me, don’t you? Just now, when you heard Seraphina was carrying my child, you were so concerned and heartbroken. Now that I’m being bullied, are you truly going to do

nothing?”

My mother sighed: “Compassion is an instinct, but when I think of what you’ve done to my daughter, I know some things must be cut off decisively.”

“Out of consideration for our many years of affection, take five million gold coins and leave. From now on, you will have no connection to us or the Blackwood Pack.”

Indeed, my parents were remarkably generous. Kael had lived a life of luxury since childhood, yet he was utterly useless. Even after causing such a disaster, my parents were still willing to give him five million gold coins. With his abilities, he would likely struggle to survive if he had to fend for himself.

The crowd also praised the Blackwood Pack’s magnanimity, calling them philanthropists. Even Seraphina was slightly stunned. She looked at Kael with clear scrutiny, assessing if he still held any

value.

Unfortunately, Kael was a lost cause.

Upon hearing “five million gold coins,” his eyes widened abruptly, as if he had been insulted.

“What? The Blackwood Pack is a giant in the alliance, with immense wealth, and the Moonlit Forest is worth billions. You’re giving me only five million gold coins? Are you trying to fob me off with peanuts? This is outrageous! You’re heartless!”

His hands trembled with rage. A moment later, something suddenly occurred to him, and he frantically

pulled out a sealed contract from his clothes.

Kael flipped through the clauses, then burst into triumphant laughter.

“You must have forgotten, you already drew up a will giving everything to me! And it clearly states that if

I sever the mate bond with my companion, she will leave the pack empty-handed. That means the

Blackwood Pack is mine!”

He looked at the clauses, laughing like a winner.

This sudden turn of events caught everyone off guard. They rushed forward to examine the document,

and their expressions quickly changed.

If the Blackwood Pack remained under my father’s and my control, all the other Alphas would sing our praises and seek cooperation, hoping for a share of the spoils.

But with the mindless Kael in charge, the Blackwood Pack would be like a child holding gold, and everyone would see it as an opportunity for plunder.

“Congratulations, Young Alpha Kael! Many packs don’t manage themselves but hire skilled assistants. I am very capable. Would Young Alpha Kael be interested in learning more?”

“I have an excellent territory project here. Young Alpha Kael only needs to invest fifty billion gold coins,

and I will handle everything from there…”

“Young Alpha Kael, my daughter has admired you for a long time. Could you give her a chance to have dinner with you?”

Seraphina, too, completely lost her composure.

“Kael, if I hadn’t provoked you just now, how would you have thought of all this? Actually, I only wanted to warn you that loyalty is essential between mates, and to tell you that I’m very serious about our relationship. If you’re willing, we can start over. After all, I’m still carrying your child.”

Indeed, she was utterly pragmatic and incredibly adaptable. And her shamelessness had reached new

heights.

But Kael no longer cared for Seraphina.

“Seraphina, after how you treated me just now, you still want to be with me? Dream on! I just heard that your family isn’t doing so well right now. You’re the one who isn’t worthy of me! Once I take over the Blackwood Pack, your family will be the first I absorb!”

Seraphina’s face was grim. She clenched her fists, forcing a smile: “But I’m still carrying your child, after

all.”

“So what? Abort the bastard!”

Kael threw Seraphina’s own words back at her, feeling a surge of satisfaction

Then, he looked at me with disdain.

“Didn’t expect this, did you? All those years of humble service, and in the end, you gained nothing Didn’t you say you were filial? Get out of our territory today and go be rouges together!”

My parents, who had been observing this farce, were stunned at his words.
