The Love Missing From Summer Chapter 06By Novel7s / June 22, 2026 The Love Missing From Summer Chapter 06Silas went speechless. “Silas Whitcomb.” I called his name. He did not sound too surprised. “Tessa, you really are at your parents’ house. Listen to me!” “I didn’t mean to make you wait that day. Briar Sutton got hit by an e-scooter, and I rushed to the hospital to take care of her. She said you…” I cut him off lightly. “There’s nothing to talk about. I don’t want to hear your explanation, and it doesn’t matter to me anymore.” Once I made a decision, I did not change it. “Silas Whitcomb, I told you. We already broke up.” The other end went quiet. “I don’t care about your business. I only want to tell you one thing. Stop harassing my family.” Then I hung up cleanly. Silas did not call again. But I did not expect Briar Sutton to contact me too. I had forgotten to delete her contact. She actually sent me a message. [Tessa, I’m so scared…] In the photo, Briar was dragging her suitcase. She was standing in the hallway outside Silas’s apartment. [Tessa, I didn’t mean anything that day. I was only joking with you.] [Silas just lost his temper at me and threw me out. What am I supposed to do this late at night?] [Please, can you talk to Silas and ask him to let me stay a little longer…] Briar Sutton really had some nerve. She was not sorry. She had realized she could not latch onto Silas anymore and was afraid of being truly kicked out. After all, in Austin, renting a place that nice for five hundred dollars with utilities included was a fantasy. So Briar turned around and tried to play weak with me. When I did not reply, she called. I answered. Briar sounded like she was crying. “Tessa, I’m sorry. I was wrong.” “Silas blocked me. He won’t talk to me. I’m a girl all by myself, and I’m really scared. Can you help me talk to him…”
