They Erased Me, So I Rewrote My Life Chapter 21

They Erased Me, So I Rewrote My Life Chapter 21

After listening, I turned off the phone.

This was what Savannah did best.

Saying the cruelest things in the gentlest voice.

She smeared me, insulted Leo’s background, and conveniently cast herself as a benevolent benefactor, all in one breath.

“Do you believe her?” I asked.

Leo immediately shook his head.

“Of course not. I just… I don’t understand why she’d do that. She sounds like she really cares about you.”

“Because she’s a good actress.” I handed the phone back to him. “In her eyes, everyone is a prop in her story. She can’t stand anyone who refuses to follow her script. Especially you.”

I tapped open Savannah’s profile.

Photo after photo slid past.

Her hugging Father at a charity dinner, captioned, “My amazing dad.”

Her strolling arm-in-arm with Ethan down a tree-lined path, captioned, “The best brother.”

Her laughing with friends on a lakeside weekend, captioned, “So grateful for all the beautiful souls in my life.”

The comments were a flood of praise.

People called her an angel. Said she was kind. That she brought light to the Walton family.
