Dethroning the Alpha King Who Dumped Me Chapter 08 The Truth & The Bond Severed

My expression remained calm. I had long since become indifferent to matters of love and entanglement.

Before I could speak, she continued. Back during the snow mountain avalanche years ago, she said she hadn’t intentionally stolen credit for saving my life.

She deliberately accepted Jack’s favor and guilt, staying by his side for years, all just to make me see his selfishness and cold nature-forcing me to finally give up and break free from emotional shackles.

She couldn’t stand watching me, someone with such a powerful wolf spirit, willingly trapped inside a castle, burying myself for a domineering and self-absorbed man.

I paused slightly, completely unprepared for this reason.

But all past love and hatred had already been resolved in my heart.

“Thank you for helping me see through the true nature of that scum,” I said lightly. I subconsciously patted her head, then turned away without hesitation.

After that, I formally began planning the revival.

I immediately finalized the strategy: “Use the Fallen Dust’ Ruins as the core base. Rebuild the Blue Moon Pack.”

The three surviving subordinates dropped to one knee at once. “We obey the Alpha’s command! We swear loyalty and will restore the Blue Moon Pack!”

Not far away, Jack had witnessed everything. He rushed forward to stop me, his voice filled with disbelief and panic. “Elsa, rebuilding a pack on your own is extremely dangerous. I can handle everything for you-come back with me.”

He still stood above it all, convinced that everything I did was just a childish act of defiance.

I glanced at him coldly. “Put away your control issues.”

Before he could continue pestering me, I activated the severance contract I had long submitted to the Moon Goddess.

The mate bond that once tightly connected me and Jack began to fracture-piece by piece- before dissolving into nothingness.

“I have already requested the Moon Goddess to dissolve our mate bond,” I said calmly. “From this moment on, there is no connection between you and me.”

Jack’s entire body jolted violently. His face turned deathly pale as a surge of blood rose in his throat. He staggered backward several steps.

Even an Alpha King would suffer amplified pain when a mate bond was forcibly severed.

He clutched his chest tightly, veins bulging at his temples. Cold sweat drenched his hair as unbearable, tearing pain swept through his entire body, making even standing difficult.

“Elsa… you dare…” He stared at me with eyes filled with pain, unwillingness, and panic-yet none of the former arrogance remained.

I watched him coldly, my heart unmoved. Not a trace of pity.

This was the outcome he had created himself. Compared to two lifetimes of harm, this pain was nothing.

I no longer looked at his miserable state. Turning away, I led my subordinates deeper into the ruins corridor.

Passing through layers of ancient stone forest, once we were far from Jack’s reach, a steady and imposing figure slowly emerged from the shadows ahead.

He wore a dark, simple robe. His presence was restrained yet overwhelmingly oppressive. His features were deep and composed, carrying the calm authority of someone who had long stood at the peak of power.

He was the former Alpha King, a retired but still formidable ruler who upheld the laws of the wolf clans-Kris.

He looked at me quietly, his gaze landing on the transformed power of my wolf spirit. After a long pause, he spoke in a low, weighty voice: “The Blue Moon bloodline has awakened. The new Alpha King is about to rise.”
