Dethroning the Alpha King Who Dumped Me Chapter 06

Dethroning the Alpha King Who Dumped Me Chapter 06 Reborn in the Ruins.

In the deepest shadows of the Fallen Dust Ruins, I crushed the last rogue beneath my feet.

A full month of trials within the ancient ruins had completely reshaped both my body and mind.

The old scars left by silver poison had long since healed. Stripped of my former fragility, my body now surged with an unprecedented, overflowing strength.

Every battle, every desperate struggle on the edge of death, had gradually torn apart the weak and timid version of myself from the past-bringing me closer to my truest, most powerful self.

I paused briefly, about to pack up and continue deeper into the core of the ruins in search of high-tier wolf power crystals, when a familiar voice suddenly rang out behind me.

“Elsa!”

I froze for a moment, then slowly turned around.

Jack was walking quickly out from within the ruins’ passageway.

It was clear he had deliberately followed me into the Fallen Dust Ruins. His gaze locked tightly onto me, his emotions complex and unreadable.

But I felt nothing. No emotion rippled through me at all.

The moment I left Vesta Castle, I had already severed every last tie between us.

No matter why he had come here, it had nothing to do with me anymore.

Jack carefully scanned my entire body, as if confirming my condition.

Seeing my steady aura and condensed strength-far stronger than before-his eyes flickered with shock, quickly followed by an uncontrollable mix of guilt and urgency.

“I’ve been looking for you for a full month,” he said, his voice low and hoarse. “After you left the castle, I used all the pack’s resources to search for you. I thought something had happened to you.”

I looked at him quietly without responding, my expression calm and indifferent.

Seeing my silence, Jack’s voice grew heavier. “After the ball that day, I only realized later that I was wrong. I shouldn’t have ignored your injuries, and I shouldn’t have kept siding with Saria, letting you suffer so much.”

“I saw the letter you left. You requested the Moon Goddess to dissolve our mate bond… and cut ties with me completely. Is that true?”

There was disbelief in his tone, mixed with a trace of deliberate vulnerability, as if trying to use his old posture to salvage what had already been shattered between us.

I finally spoke, my voice flat and emotionless. “Yes.”

Not a single trace of hesitation.

Jack stiffened, panic flashing across his face. “Elsa, do you really have to be this decisive?”

He stepped forward, trying to close the distance between us. “I admit I was selfish before, biased, and I ignored your feelings. But I can change. I can immediately settle Saria and stay by your side from now on, reinforce your position as Luna, and help you rebuild the Blue Moon Pack.”

“You don’t need to,” I interrupted him directly.

I looked at him coldly. “Back then, I needed your protection and your power to support my pack. So I endured, compromised, and submitted. But now-I don’t need it anymore.”

“The glory of the Blue Moon Pack, I will reclaim it myself. The strength and status I want, I will earn with my own hands. I don’t need to rely on anyone.”

Jack stared at me intently, as if seeing me for the first time, disbelief filling his eyes.

“So this past month, you’ve been hiding here to train and grow stronger… just to completely cut me off?” he asked in a low voice.

“Yes,” I answered without hesitation. “I don’t want to be your attachment anymore, nor do I want to be a joke between you and Saria.”

Jack’s expression darkened instantly. “There is nothing between me and Saria like you think.”

He spoke quickly, almost urgently. “I protect her only because she saved my life. I owe her a debt. In my heart, you are the only Luna.”

I found his words utterly ridiculous.

Debt?

This so-called “life-saving grace” had bound me across two lifetimes-and ultimately destroyed

I had no interest in revisiting past entanglements of right and wrong. I turned

away and

prepared to continue deeper into the ruins. “My matters have nothing to do with you. You can go back.”

“I’m not leaving,” Jack said firmly, stepping in front of me. “The Fallen Dust Ruins are dangerous. You’re alone-it’s too risky. I’ll stay with you. I’ll protect you.”

I glanced at him coldly. “Jack, understand this clearly. I once needed your protection. Now I don’t need anyone anymore. In fact, the current me… you may not even be stronger than me anymore.”

Ignoring his self-righteous sentiment, I sidestepped him and walked straight past, heading deeper into the ancient ruins without looking back.
