Dethroning the Alpha King Who Dumped Me Chapter 02 The Crown I Let Her Wear

After modifying that bond, I returned to Vesta Castle.

This castle was the residence of Alpha King Jack, representing the highest authority and prestige on the werewolf continent.

It was also the prison that trapped me in my previous life…

Now that I have returned once again, it is only to take back what belongs to the Blue Moon Pack and me.

The Blue Moon Pack was my original pack, once one of the four most powerful packs on the werewolf continent, with formidable strength.

But a political upheaval that swept across the continent completely crushed everything the pack had.

Back then, my father made a wrong decision, and the entire pack fell apart.

In my previous life, my heart and mind were filled only with Jack. I naively believed that as long as I became his Luna, I could revive the Blue Moon Pack.

I wagered everything, only to end up with complete betrayal and ridicule.

He never loved me-so how could he ever stand up for my pack?

I suppressed my emotions, pushed the door open, and walked in.

What I saw was Saria leaning weakly in Jack’s arms, letting out soft murmurs.

The supreme Alpha King of the werewolf continent was gently caressing her cheek at this

moment.

Such tenderness-I had never experienced it.

In the past, a scene this glaring would have driven me mad on the spot.

But after everything in my last life, I no longer felt anything at all.

“Will Luna be angry?” Saria sobbed softly, her tone pitiful. “I shouldn’t have stayed here and disturbed your marking, but it’s too dangerous outside. My wolf spirit is weak again-I’m really scared…”

Jack raised his hand to comfort her, his tone firm. “Don’t be silly. You saved my life—I owe you, so protecting you is only right. Elsa is the future Luna; she should be understanding. Compared

to a formal bonding ceremony, your safety matters more.”

I rolled my eyes and deliberately coughed, breaking the warm atmosphere between them.

Only then did they notice me. Jack hurriedly released Saria from his arms, looking awkward.

As for Saria, a trace of provocation flashed through her gaze as she looked at me.

“Elsa, you’re back.” Jack cleared his throat to hide his unease and deliberately explained, “I just came to check on Saria. Her wolf spirit is unstable, and she hasn’t been feeling well.”

I couldn’t be bothered to respond. My gaze fell calmly on the crown on Saria’s head.

It was the heirloom ruby crown of the werewolf continent, a symbol exclusive to the Luna- only the Alpha King’s official mate had the right to wear it.

In my previous life, I had nothing but the empty title of Luna and never even had the chance to wear that crown. Yet now it was being worn casually by an omega.

Noticing my gaze, Saria subconsciously touched her head and feigned innocence. “I just thought it looked pretty and tried it on. I’ll take it off now.”

As she spoke, she pretended to lift her hand to remove the crown, but her eyes were fixed on Jack, clearly waiting for him to back her up.

As expected, Jack immediately said impatiently, “It’s just an accessory. There’s no need to make a fuss. She just likes pretty things.”

“No need to take it off,” I spoke calmly. “It suits you.”

Both of them froze, their faces full of shock.

Saria tested cautiously, “You really don’t mind?”

I smiled faintly, “Why would I mind? Since you both think it fits, then wear it properly.”

Jack assumed I was being temperamental and said indifferently, “You don’t need to play these games with me. I’ve told you before, Saria is just like my sister. I know you’ve always wanted that emerald diamond ring, so I specially had it brought from afar. You can try it on.”

That was an obsession I had hidden deep in my heart in my previous life—the emerald diamond ring that symbolized happiness.

But now, I no longer needed it.

“I don’t need it,” I said lightly, “Our hands are about the same size-let Saria try it on instead.”

Jack’s expression changed drastically as he roared, “Elsa! I prepared this especially for you!”

“I don’t have time.” I didn’t bother arguing and turned to leave, “Saria would be more than happy to try it on for me.”

That diamond ring, which symbolized the identity of Luna, had long since had nothing to do with me.

Completely enraged by my indifference, Jack shoved the ring box into Saria’s hands out of spite, “If she doesn’t want it, then it’s yours!”

Saria was both surprised and delighted, lowering her voice shyly, “If I wear it… does that mean I’m like the Alpha King’s Luna…?”

I couldn’t be bothered with them and went straight upstairs to pack my things. I needed to leave this place as soon as possible…
