My Husband’s Heir Cost Him His Own Daughter Chapter 29

On the screen, Carter was standing by the bar, drinking with the elders.

Not far away, his phone lit up and vibrated on a table.

Savannah saw it.

She sauntered by, glanced at the screen, then walked over, picked up the phone, and held down the power button until the screen went dark.

The entire sequence was perfectly clear.

Carter watched, a cold fury rising in him.

“Savannah, the evidence is right there. What else do you have to say?”

Savannah took a deep breath, somehow composing herself.

“I have nothing to say. You were having a good time with your uncles. I didn’t want the butler bothering you with calls in the middle of the night. How was I supposed to know it was about Amelia? If I had known it was a real emergency, I would have given you the phone.”

“You’re still making excuses!”

Carter’s disappointment was absolute.

Now, everything she said sounded like a lie.

“Take your son and go back to your room.” His voice was rough with exhaustion and disgust. “I don’t want to see you right now.”
