His Tardiness, Her New Marriage Chapter 15

“Sloane! Shut up! What the hell are you talking about!”

Blake, still pinned by security, twisted his head and roared at Sloane.

“I’m not talking nonsense!”

Sloane became even more agitated, still holding up her phone. “Are you too scared to even admit I’m your wife now?!”

“It’s fake! We were drunk! It doesn’t count!”

Blake couldn’t admit it, not here, on Ashford territory, and especially not in front of Audrey!

“Whether it’s fake or not can be easily verified by checking the marriage records.”

Nathaniel, who had been silent until now, finally spoke.

He turned his head slightly and gave a quiet order to an assistant-like figure beside him.

The man nodded and quickly left.

Soon after, Blake and Sloane were escorted from the venue by security.

The officiant raised his voice. “Please, everyone, remain calm. Let us continue with the ceremony.”

The rest of the wedding proceeded without a hitch.

It wasn’t until the final part of the reception was over and most of the guests had left that I finally let out a breath of relief in the private VIP lounge.

Nathaniel handed me a glass of warm water.

“Tired?” he asked. His tone was concerned, but not overly intimate.

Our marriage began as a mutually beneficial agreement,

But his thoughtfulness in this moment was genuine.

“I’m okay.” I shook my head, looking out at the view from the window. “Today… thank you.”

“It was nothing.” Nathaniel smiled, a faint, reserved smile. “The Ashford family never goes back on its promises. As for the Langfords and the Harringtons…”

Before he could finish, there was a soft knock on the door.
