“How. Why isn’t it my name.”

I pulled my wrist back.

“It’s a couple’s bracelet. Mine and my boyfriend’s. Of course it says his name.”

The truth hit him. His composure cracked.

“Vanessa. Your boyfriend is me. I don’t accept this.”

Leo let out a soft laugh. Precise. Fatal.

“Mr. Croft. You’re her ex. You don’t get a vote.”

I wrapped my arm around Leo’s. Looked at Dylan. My voice was ice.

He started to speak. His phone rang. He listened. Whatever he heard drained the color from his face. He left without another word.
