He Wanted a Nanny, I Returned As the Alpha King’s Luna Chapter 07

David’s presence was a calming balm, and my frantic breathing finally evened out.

I raised my hand and pointed to the culprits: Mattew, Claire, and the handful of wolves who had fanned the flames at the airport yesterday.

Mattew and Claire’s faces went white. The other wolves nearly collapsed to the floor.

“We didn’t…”

“Alpha King, we truly didn’t know she was…”

Their only regret was not believing me when I’d said I was the Luna. They knew they were dead men

once David found out what they had said.

A beautifully dressed she-wolf gritted her teeth and stepped forward. She thrust her chest out, a

seductive, fawning look on her face. “Alpha King, there may have been a misunderstanding… I don’t suppose you’d be willing to discuss it with me? I mean, just the two of us. In private.”

Her invitation was obvious. She was gambling on a long shot: it wasn’t unheard of for Alphas to be unfaithful, and few could resist a lover as beautiful and sexy as she was. What if the rumors about the Alpha King’s devotion to his Luna were just exaggerations?

I couldn’t believe someone would dare to proposition David right in front of me.

But before I could even get angry, David acted.

“Ahhh-!”

With a bloodcurdling scream, the she-wolf’s body began to twist and contort. White fur burst from under

her skin.

“She’s… she’s shifting!” someone gasped.

For a werewolf, a forced shift in public from sheer terror is the ultimate humiliation. It means their mind has completely broken.

“Drag it out,” David said with a frown, clearly disgusted by the sight.

This wasn’t the first time someone had tried to seduce him. But every time, he dealt with it in the

swiftest, most ruthless way possible.

He always said, “Anyone who dares to come between us deserves to die.”

Black-clad guards immediately stepped forward and dragged the still-howling white wolf out of the hall.

“As for you,” David’s gaze fell on the remaining, trembling wolves. “I won’t kill you.”

Relief washed over their faces.

But in the next second, David’s voice turned to ice. “Instead, I will follow pack law and rip away your wolves.”

“No-!”

The wolves broke down, crying and begging for mercy. For a werewolf, losing their wolf is losing everything: their strength, their status, even their will to live.

“Take them away,” David waved a dismissive hand.

Their desperate cries faded into the distance.

Mattew and Claire hadn’t been judged yet, but their faces were already ashen. After all, those wolves had been following Mattew’s orders. Dealing with his lackeys first was a blatant warning to him.

They stood there, the focus of everyone’s contempt.

“Doctor,” David said, glancing at my injuries. He decided to get me treated first.

The doctor gently touched my cheek, examining the handprint.

“Hiss…”

I couldn’t help but suck in a sharp breath.

That small sound was all it took. David and Leo went on high alert. They both rushed forward, speaking at once.

“Does it hurt a lot, Mommy? I’ll blow on it for you…”

“Baby, if it hurts, squeeze my hand…”

Seeing them overreact, I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. “It’s fine, I’m okay.”

Leo stared at the doctor with a deadly serious expression that made you forget he was barely three years old. “Don’t you dare hurt my mommy, or we’ll get a new you.”
