Spoiled by the Mafia King Chapter 04

Spoiled by the Mafia King Chapter 04

Five black armored SUVs roared into the parade ground and lined up in a menacing row. Their doors opened almost at the same time.

Five tall, striking men stepped out, their leather boots hitting the asphalt.

At the front was Luca Rossi, my father’s heir and the family’s next Don. Soon, he would own the entire city.

The man who always smiled when he looked at me now wore an expression that had gone flat and lethal.

His gaze cut across the entire formation like a blade before locking on me.

“Sweetheart.”

He strode forward, passing straight by Reynolds without slowing down.

“I’m here.”

“I’m sorry I’m late. You’re safe now.”

I buried my face in his coat and greedily breathed in the familiar scent of gun oil and expensive cologne.

“Luca, it hurts. She tore up the letter.”

“I know. I know everything.”

Matteo, my second-oldest brother and an arms dealer, was already standing in front of Reynolds.

“Reynolds, right?”

Reynolds’s lips trembled, and her knees nearly gave out.

“Sir.”

“Don’t call me sir.” Matteo took one step closer, his shadow nearly swallowing her whole. “My sister had a 103-degree fever, and you refused to get her treatment?”

“She collapsed from heatstroke, and you called it an act?”

Reynolds backed away, sweat running down her face.

“I didn’t know she was your sister. I thought she was just—”

“Just some nobody you could trample on?” Dante, who controlled half the shipping lanes on the East Coast, kicked the instructor’s desk over. “Who the hell do you think you are, laying a hand on one of ours?”

The headmaster rushed out of the administration building and nearly tripped over his own boots. When he saw the five men, his legs almost gave out beneath him.

“Mr. Rossi! What an honor—”

“Shut up.” Dante did not even look at him.

The entire academy went rigid and silent.

“Bring it out.”

Two armed soldiers stepped forward carrying a trash can that reeked of rot and stale coffee. They dumped it at Reynolds’s feet.

Nico, my fourth brother and a businessman with a background in pharmaceuticals, walked slowly toward the trash can.

“I heard you tore up the letter we wrote to Valentina,” he said, looking at Reynolds. “You’re going to pick up every piece and tape it back together.”

Reynolds stared at him in horror. “Sir, that’s impossible. It’s destroyed.”

“Impossible?” Nico leaned closer. “Then you’ll stay here until it’s done. You get no food, no water, and no sleep.”

Reynolds broke down. She dropped to her knees in front of the trash can, sobbing.

“I’m sorry! I didn’t know she was the Rossi daughter. I swear, if I had known, I never would have—”

“So if she wasn’t one of ours,” Adrian, my fifth brother, cut in, his voice sharp and controlled, “that would have made it fine?”

He lifted a tablet and shoved it in front of the headmaster.

“Headmaster, your approach to educating students is truly eye-opening.”

The headmaster took the device with trembling hands. After one glance, his face drained of color.

“Reynolds is a twenty-eight-year-old woman and not a veteran.”

Adrian’s voice carried through the silent courtyard.

“Three years ago, she was discharged after permanently injuring a recruit during an unauthorized punishment.”

“She is also currently under investigation for stealing and reselling cadet supplies.”

Gasps rippled through the crowd.

“So that’s why she took Valentina’s sunscreen and fan. She was planning to sell them!”

“She has no business being here at all!”

Reynolds’s face went deathly pale. She knew it was over.

“No. It was for discipline! It was to make them tough!” she shouted, scrambling for her usual excuse. “Girls like her are spoiled. They need to learn obedience. They should be at home serving men.”
