Ten Years of Regret Chapter 07

Ten Years of Regret Chapter 07

The photos showed Ivy Dawson in bars overseas with different men.

Studying abroad? Long-distance love? All lies.

She’d left the country to run off with her first boyfriend.

She wanted excitement. Hated the idea of an arranged marriage. So she dumped Chase.

Then she got cheated on, used up, and came crawling back and destroyed my life. Why should she get away

with that?

And Chase knew everything.

I’d found those photos on his computer myself.

But he didn’t care. Because in his heart, Ivy was above everything.

He’d cover up the truth and throw me under the bus.

“Cora…”

People’s fingers pointed at them now.

Just like at the wedding.

Ivy trembled and buried herself in Chase’s arms.

Chase stared at me in unbelievable.

I put up a screenshot of a private message on the big screen behind me.

The message was from Ivy, the day before the wedding.

She told me to guess who Chase would choose tomorrow. Her or me.

Back then, I didn’t understand.

Then he left me without a second thought.

I kept scrolling. These were the photos I’d saved-every time Chase went to see Ivy, she’d post pictures of

just the two of them on her social media.

Every angle. Intimate as hell.

Then I walked over and slapped a heart checkup report right in Ivy’s face.

“Your heart condition is fake too. You’re a hell of an actress.”

Tears gushed down her face. “Cora, I don’t know what you’re talking about. Why are you making things up…”

Such a drama queen.

I didn’t waste more words. “Truth or fake, reporters will dig it up.’

The big media outlets wouldn’t let this go.

She went limp, falling toward Chase.

But this time, he didn’t catch her. He hurried to my side instead.

Cheating. Covering up for the other woman. Lying to the public.

His reputation was toast.

The product launch was a complete disaster.

Montgomery Group was going to take a massive hit.

I thought he’d come after me.

Instead, he was clutching two of the photos.

One was him in a towel, holding Ivy.

Another was in a private booth, their lips locked, eyes closed.

His lips quivered as he grabbed my arm. “Cora, where did you get these? It’s not what you think.”

I laughed and peeled his fingers off. “Then what is it? Someone forced your head down?”

I’d always assumed Ivy’s posts were visible to him.

Clearly, they weren’t.

No wonder he’d been so sure it was just a little thing at the wedding.

Chaos everywhere.

I nodded, satisfied. Then I looked at Chase with a cruel smile, raising my voice so everyone would turn to me.

“As for me.”

I replaced the chat log on the screen with my abortion confirmation form.

“I already terminated the pregnancy. As of today, Mr. Montgomery and I are no longer husband and wife.”

Chase froze. He just stared at the screen, unable to process.

Every reporter in the room had grabbed some of the photos I’d thrown.

Now they were snapping pictures of the abortion form.

The whole focus shifted to Chase and Ivy.

I squeezed through the crowd and walked out.

Just before I left, I could hear Ivy’s helpless sobs.

Chase was trapped the crowd and couldn’t get to me. He screamed my name in agony.

“Why did you kill the baby? Why are you doing this to me?”

I was already calling a cab when his parents showed up. They were furious. Demanded to know what I’d

done.

I smiled brightly. “Just a little gift from me to you.”
