His Perfect Wife Died The Day He Made Her Kneel Chapter 09

“Mr. Vance,” a muted voice called out from beyond the window. His assistant stood outside the vehicle, looking at Julian with a deeply conflicted, pitying expression.

Julian’s body bolted upright, and he t! w the door open, lunging forward to grab the assistant by the arms. “Did you find something?! Where is she !”

“My deepest apologies, sir… but the Master requested I convey a message to you. He demands you return immediately to finalize the wedding. We must implement damage control before the press catches wind of

this, in order to minimize our corporate losses.”

With that, the assistant held up a tablet, displaying live feeds of the chaotic, ruined wedding venue.

“To hell with the wedding!”

Julian flew into a cataclysmic rage, snatching the tablet and shattering it completely against the concrete. “Without Chloe Sterling, I will never stand at an altar for the rest of my miserable life! Aside from her, no woman on this earth carries the right to be my bride…!”

Before the assistant could even utter a response, Julian had already slammed his car door shut, hit the gas,

and vanished into the traffic.

Meanwhile, back at the Sterling mansion, the atmosphere had completely boiled over.

Victoria’s face was so dark it looked as though it were dripping with venom. She slammed her crystal porcelain cup against the marble coffee table with a resounding crack. “This is unmitigated tyranny! In what

universe is my precious daughter inferior to that little bitch?!”

“How dare he sprint out of his own wedding?! Does he think my daughter’s dignity is a joke?!”

Robert Sterling sat across from her, completely stone-faced as he took sip after agonizing sip of his tea, his

brows knitted so tightly they formed a permanent, deep ridge on his forehead.

“Keep your mouth shut, Victoria,” he finally muttered.

Hearing that, Victoria exploded instantly, shrieking at the top of her lungs, “You expect me to sit here and

watch our daughter be publicly humiliated?! You need to use every ounce of your leverage this instant to

force

etched brat Chloe to crawl back here and apologize on her hands and knees!”

“Enough! She is also my daughter!” Robert roared back, his teeth grinding as he let out a low snarl. “I will

handle the communications with the Vance family elders.”

Suddenly, a deafening crash shattered the foyer. The heavy front doors of the mansion were kicked wide

open.

Robert’s temper flared instantly. He snapped his head up, preparing to unleash a torrent of fury, but the exact second his eyes took in the intruder, his anger evaporated into pure panic. “Julian… listen to me, let me explain…”

“Evelyn is an incredibly gentle, rational woman. She possesses an impeccable character and is a million.

times more compliant and delightful than Chloe. We observed how wonderfully you two were getting along, which is why we took the liberty of updating the marriage arrangement for your own benefit. In the future.

“I don’t have the patience to ask you a third time,” Julian interrupted, his voice entirely flat, emitting a chill

that seemed to seep directly into the n. row of their bones. “Where the hell is Chloe Sterling?”

“Chloe is simply too stubborn for her own good. This entire arrangement was designed to protect your

interests. Moving forward…”

“Where is she?!”

Robert’s entire silhouette trembled slightly under the terrifying glare. “I swear to you, I don’t know! Two days

ago, the moment she stepped foot back in this house, she demanded a total dissolution of the engagement,

claiming she was gladly stepping aside for Evelyn. Then, she took her things and vanished into thin air…”

“She… she was the one who demanded the dissolution?!”

Julian’s face turned a ghastly, translucent shade of white, as if he had just been forced to swallow the most

agonizing truth imaginable.

“You are entirely unworthy of calling yourself her father,” Julian whispered. His eyes were entirely shot

through with blood, his expression twisting into something deeply unstable and monstrous. “If Chloe Sterling

is not found safe and sound, I promise you, there will no longer be a reason for the Sterling dynasty to exist

on this earth.”

Standing off to the side, Victoria could no longer restrain herself. She stepped forward, screaming furiously,

“What could that wretched bitch possibly possess to make you this heartless?! You threw my daughter aside

at the altar like garbage! Does your conscience not burn you alive?!”

“You need to drag your pathetic ass back out there, pick up my daughter, and restart the ceremony this

instant…!”

Julian’s gaze turned instantly predatory. Swinging his arm back, he delivered a blistering, heavy slap right

across her face.

“What kind of low-class trash do you think you are to dare command me?”

“A disgusung, home-wrecking whore who completely pollutes my vision. An entity like you wouldn’t even be

permitted to cross the threshold of the Vance estate, yet this pathetic excuse for a family treats you like a

prize.”

The sheer velocity of the strike left Victoria’s brain entirely scrambled, a fiery ache radiating across her

cheek. “You…!”

Her face flushed an ugly mix of red and white as tears of pure humiliation spilled over, yet she didn’t possess the courage to bark another threat.

Right then, the assistant came bursting through the ruined foyer, his face flushed with frantic excitement. “Mr. Vance! We’ve intercepted a trace on Mrs. Vance!”
