His Perfect Wife Died The Day He Made Her Kneel Chapter 02

His Perfect Wife Died The Day He Made Her Kneel Chapter 02

In a sprawling, affluent neighborhood on the outskirts of the city sat a luxurious villa.

Chloe stared up at the estate for a long time, the fury burning in her chest becoming impossible to suppress.

Robert had certainly been generous, buying a whole villa for his mistress.

Yet, when her own mother was bedridden with a critical illness, he hadn’t even been willing to shell out the money for imported medication.

The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. Raising her foot, she kicked the front door with a vicious strike.

The door wasn’t locked. It flew open with a loud bang, startling the woman inside.

Chloe stepped in, her expression completely blank as she coldly sized up the elegant, richly dressed woman standing before her. “Are you Victoria Jenkins?”

“Yes, I am. And who are you—”

Before Victoria could even finish her sentence, Chloe swung her arm and delivered a resounding slap right across her face.

The crisp sound echoed through the foyer, followed by Victoria’s shrill, agonizing shriek. “Are you insane?! Why did you hit me?!”

“I hit you because you’re a homewrecking whore.”

Chloe didn’t waste another word. Grabbing Victoria by the hair, she unleashed a rapid succession of brutal slaps across her face.

“Stop it! Let go of my mother!”

From inside the house, Evelyn Sterling rushed forward in a fit of rage. “Get out of here right now, or I’m calling the police!”

“Oh, please!”

Chloe threw a disdainful glance at Evelyn. “A piece of human garbage like your mother deserves to be chopped up and fed to the dogs. Beating her senseless is practically a public service.”

“You…!”

Victoria trembled violently with rage, her eyes burning with a venomous malice. “I know who you are now… You’re Chloe Sterling!”

“How could Robert raise such a savage, uneducated brat?!”

Chloe grinned wickedly. “Don’t worry, the ‘savage’ part hasn’t even started yet.”

Right outside the doorway, a bystander Chloe had hired for a hefty fee was holding up a smartphone, eagerly broadcasting live to the internet.

“Take a good look, folks in the livestream!” the man shouted excitedly. “The woman right here is a shameless, pathetic homewrecker who loves sleeping with married men. Well, actually, she’s not even a high-class mistress—she’s just a washed-up, gold-digging tramp!”

The realization hit Victoria like a bucket of ice water. Screaming in panic, she lunged toward the door to claw at the phone. “Stop recording! Shut it off!”

Chloe shoved Victoria aside and walked over to Evelyn with a mocking chuckle, pinching her chin. “Our father really did a number on you. You’re so delicate, especially this pretty little face…”

Evelyn trembled with fear, taking a shaky step back. “What do you want?! My dad will never let you get away with hurting my mom! You better stop right now…”

Chloe ignored her entirely, her smile only growing more radiant.

“Julian Vance definitely won’t be able to resist a pair of legs like these,” Chloe mused aloud. “Right up his alley.”

But the next second, a voice as cold and devoid of human emotion as a block of ice rang out right behind her.

“Right up whose alley?”

Chloe’s entire body froze instantly. Steeling her nerves, she slowly turned around.

Dressed in a flawlessly tailored suit, his sharp, sculpted features exuded an imposing handsomeness. His towering silhouette alone seemed to pull all the gravity and light out of the room.

“Turn off the livestream,” Julian commanded.

His eyes were incredibly deep, his face so dark it looked like a brewing storm cloud. His long, slender fingers were clenched so tightly into fists that his veins bulged violently.

Overwhelmed by his suffocating aura, the hired bystander didn’t hesitate for a second. He shut down the stream and fled the scene immediately.

From the moment he arrived, Julian’s gaze never wavered. His eyes remained fixed entirely on Chloe.

Within those dark depths, there was nothing but a cold, brooding fury—the quiet before a devastating tempest.

“Give me an explanation,” he said.

Chloe’s face remained frosty, her words cutting through the air like a blade. “None of your damn business.”

Unfazed by her blatant provocation, his voice simply dropped lower, laced with a heavy, demanding authority. “Why did you come here to cause trouble?”

She lifted her chin, gesturing lazily toward Victoria. “Are you blind? I’m hunting down a homewrecker.”

Humiliated and enraged, Victoria shrieked like a banshee, her face twisted with malice. “You’re the crazy one here! You’re going to completely ruin the Sterling family sooner or later!”

Julian’s eyes narrowed slightly. He whipped his gaze toward Victoria and let out a sharp, booming command, “Shut up!”

The sheer weight of his commanding aura instantly silenced Victoria. She stood frozen in humiliation, her eyes brimming with sheer venom.

“This is a private Sterling family matter,” Julian said, turning back to Chloe. “You shouldn’t have aired it out for the whole world to see, let alone broadcasted it live.”

Deep disappointment flickered in his eyes. “You are the future Mrs. Vance. Your every action reflects upon my family. Yet all I see right now is a malicious, hysterical little girl throwing a tantrum.”

“Protect our family reputation, will you?”

Those painfully familiar words pierced Chloe’s heart like a dagger.

“To hell with your rules! What if I just don’t want to marry you anymore?! Why don’t you go find yourself a gentle, elegant, and perfectly submissive Mrs. Vance instead?!”

“Take this one, for instance,” Chloe sneered, letting her anger entirely cloud her judgment. “She’s sweet, well-behaved, and just happens to be my father’s precious illegitimate daughter…”

In her fit of rage, she grabbed Evelyn by the hair and forcibly shoved her straight toward Julian.

Caught entirely off guard, Julian stiffened as a soft, delicate body crashed right into his chest.

“Ah… you’re hurting me,” Evelyn whimpered softly. Yet, instead of pulling away immediately, she hung her head gracefully, her petite shoulders trembling as if she were a frightened, defenseless creature.

The atmosphere in the room instantly plunged into a suffocating, dead silence.

The moment the words left her mouth, Chloe felt a pang of regret.

Everyone in the city knew that Julian Vance valued his pride and reputation above his own life.

“I’m so sorry… I didn’t mean to impose on you…” Evelyn gasped, suddenly snapping out of it. Like a startled rabbit, she stumbled backward in a panic, bowing repeatedly to apologize.

Julian stared down at the woman who had just been in his arms, his pupils shrinking into pinpricks. After a few agonizing seconds, he tore his gaze away and locked onto Chloe.

“What did you just say?”

Chloe darted her eyes away, refusing to answer.

Having completely lost his patience, he reached out, clamped his hand around her wrist, and dragged her forward. “We’re leaving. Now.”

“I’m not going back with you!”

She thrashed wildly, trying to break his grip, but his iron hold only tightened, sending a sharp ache up her arm.

“I’m going to a club! I’m going street racing! I’m going to every single place I’ve ever wanted to go but couldn’t because of you—ah!”

Julian didn’t let her finish. Sweeping her off her feet, he lifted her into a dominant, unyielding bridal carry.

Under the stunned and heavily conflicted glares of Evelyn and Victoria, he casually carried her out of the villa and threw her into the back of his Maybach.

Chloe boiled with rage and humiliation, making no effort to hide the sheer disgust in her voice. “You criticize me for not following the rules, yet how are you any different from a common brute?”

Julian slid into the seat beside her, his expression entirely devoid of warmth as he scrutinized her. “I’m warning you, Chloe. Do not push your luck.”

“The internal power struggles within the Vance family are getting worse by the day. At least half of the elders can’t stand the sight of you. If you keep acting so recklessly, the consequences…”

“The consequences will be what?” Chloe scoffed, leaning lazily against the leather seat as she stared at him with pure indifference. “You’ll divorce me?”

His eyes flared with a lethal sharpness. “Chloe Sterling, I am not joking with you. You are going back to apologize to your father!”

Chloe let out a mocking sneer, turning her attention to the window. “Apologize to him? Ha… This is nothing compared to what he owes my mother.”

Suddenly, the car slammed on the brakes, screeching to a violent halt right in the middle of the road.

Before she could even steady herself from the whiplash, Julian threw his door open, marched over to her side, and brutally dragged her out of the vehicle.

“What the hell are you doing now?!” Chloe yelled.

Julian’s voice was completely flat, his gaze as piercing and cold as shards of ice. “From here to the Sterling estate, it’s nothing but empty mountain roads. Not a single car passes through here.”

“Use the long walk back to think carefully about how to be a compliant, respectful wife.”

Without giving her a chance to utter a single word, he rolled up the window, hit the gas, and blasted away.

Chloe watched the Maybach shrink into a tiny speck in the distance, stamping her foot in absolute fury.

“Julian Vance, you absolute bastard!”
