Whispers of The Marked Omega Chapter 04

Whispers of The Marked Omega Chapter 04

I turned into the narrow dark alley and pushed open the basement door, greeted by the heavy damp stench of concrete and mildew.

“Leo? Mommy’s home, look what I brought you—”

A heavy silence hung thick in the tiny room. My paralyzed father sat helpless in his wheelchair, his only movable finger trembling as he pointed shakily toward the cold floor.

A wave of nausea twisted sharply in my stomach.

Leo lay face down on the cold ground, fresh blood pooling in a large dark puddle all around his small frail body.

“Leo!”

All the groceries I held slipped from my grasp and scattered across the floor. I rushed forward in a panic and lifted my child gently into my arms. His body went completely limp, his face deathly pale and his breathing shallow and faint.

My hands shook uncontrollably as I fumbled for my phone and dialed the emergency ambulance number in tears.

After a full series of thorough medical examinations, Leo was immediately sent straight into the intensive care unit. Through the thick glass window, I watched him lie unconscious in bed covered in countless medical tubes and wires.

Diagnosis: Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

I sank down onto the cold tiled floor of the hospital hallway, staring blankly at the astronomical medical bill written clearly on the medical report.

That entire night, I dialed every single contact number I could possibly find—old regular clients, casual acquaintances, even former classmates and old friends from school.

“Twenty thousand… ten thousand… I’ll do absolutely anything you ask, I can come over right now—”

Before I could finish my desperate plea, a large hand suddenly snatched my phone straight out of my trembling fingers.

The device crashed violently onto the hard floor and shattered completely into pieces.

Enzo stood towering over me, his face dark and stormy, his overwhelming Alpha fury pressing down on me until I could barely breathe.

“Can you never stay away from men for even a moment?” he roared furiously. “You’re already willing to sell yourself again just for ten thousand dollars? What on earth are you thinking, Jade?”

“Your father destroyed Mia’s entire life. She still needs two rounds of psychological therapy every single week all because of your family. Meanwhile you’re out here shamelessly selling your body like it’s your full-time career.”

“You’re utterly worthless. Why don’t you just end it all?”

I lifted my tear-streaked face toward him, voice broken and desperate. “You’re right, I am nothing but a whore. I’ll submit to anything you want me to do, just give me the money I need.”

He froze staring at me for a moment before explosive anger flared up in his eyes once more. “You’re truly beyond saving. Twenty thousand is yours. Right here, right now—take all your clothes off.”

He slammed a black premium bank card harshly down onto the ground at my feet.

I dropped to my knees instantly to pick it up, tucking it safely into my bag and finally letting out a breath of relief. Then I began unbuttoning my coat, followed by my dress and sheer stockings, kneeling fully clothed only in my underwear before him as my hand reached slowly for his belt buckle.

“You’re out of your mind—!”

His eyes widened sharply, and he shoved me brutally hard against the cold hospital wall.

All the air was forced straight out of my lungs, and I doubled over coughing painfully.

“Don’t hurt my mommy!”

Leo stood weakly in the doorway, his small face pale with fear yet stepping firmly forward to shield me like a brave little shield.

Enzo froze completely on the spot in utter shock.
