I Faked My Death to Escape the Mafia Don After My Daughter Died Chapter 11

Vittorio lunged forward like a madman, almost touching the corner of her clothes.

But it was still too late.

The warm sensation slipped from his palm and vanished completely from the world.

His eyes turned red with panic, and he almost tried to jump after her.

The guards behind him held him back with all their strength.

“Sir, calm down. Signora Padrona’s chances of survival are low, but not zero. If you jump too,

no one will be able to save her.”

The guard spoke rapidly, finally dragging Vittorio back from the edge of collapse.

Still kneeling on the ground, Vittorio roared, “Search. Send everyone down to search.”

“I want to see her alive or see her body.”

The guards answered softly and led a group around to descend.

The kidnapper, who had witnessed everything, laughed so hard he bent over, completely

delighted.

“Vittorio Rizzuto, I never thought I’d see the day.”

“This is your retribution. My child and my wife can finally rest in peace.”

Vittorio seemed to be triggered.

He rushed to the man in a few steps, grabbed his collar, his expression terrifying.

“How dare you do this?”

“I told you if you couldn’t return her to me, I would kill you.”

The kidnapper’s eyes were full of mockery.

“Didn’t I return her to you? She was the one who would rather die than go with you.”

“That was because of what you did to her.”

“Really?” The kidnapper raised a brow. “I’ve heard of Miss Giovanna Ricci. She saved

countless people in deadly situations. Would someone like her kill herself just because she

was humiliated?”

“Wasn’t she so full of hatred for you that she used her death to punish you?”

Vittorio froze and instinctively denied it.

“How is that possible? How could she hate me?”

The kidnapper stopped speaking and looked at him as if he were a fool lying to himself.

Scenes flashed before Vittorio’s eyes.

When he slapped Giovanna, she had looked at him with hatred.

When he ordered the guards to deal with Ansela’s ashes, Giovanna had looked frantic and

desperate.

When he traded Giovanna for Serena, she had spoken those final words with absolute

resolve.

Did she really not hate him?

How could she not hate him?

“Figured it out?” the kidnapper said. “You abandoned her for Serena Conti. She would have to

be insane to stay by your side.”

“And this wasn’t even the first time you chose Serena. Remember three years ago? The culprit

was your enemy too, right? Your daughter was so cute. She was kidnapped because of you,

and you watched her get blown apart…”

The kidnapper’s voice continued, stabbing exactly into Vittorio’s deepest wound.

Vittorio punched him hard in the eye.

“Shut up. You have no right to mention my daughter.”

The kidnapper was knocked heavily to the ground.

He spat out a mouthful of blood and felt a pleasure he had never known.

“For money, power, and status, you harmed so many people. You deserve to have no descendants.”

“No matter what, I won’t have no descendants. I still have a son.”

Vittorio blurted it out.

The kidnapper looked at him in surprise.

After a long moment, he sneered.

“And I actually treated you as an opponent. Vittorio Rizzuto, you really are a fool.”
